1 loser with 5 contracts at -2 ticks. I was bummed by this one. The trade worked as expected however once price moves +8 in my favor I have my ATM set to go to -2 ticks to keep my losses small. Most times if it goes +8 it will make +10 before pulling back. 1 Winner for 55 ticks with 5 contracts. Need 1 more trade to qualify for a funded account.
Way too many to count! However, I am extremely motivated this time as it looks like my wife is going to lose her teaching job next year due to funding cuts. I want to be trading live and able to cover her income so she doesn't have to go back to work and can enjoy more time with our daughter's during her senior year in high school.
I didn't want to blow it. Entered short with 3 contracts for a quick scalp of +10 ticks. However, when price hit +8 ticks again it retreated. Price came within 1 tick of stopping me out. Fearing another loss and the pressure it would put on me to qualify I moved my target to +5 ticks for each contract. This may be ugly but it should qualify me for a funded account. When I return from lunch I will possibly look for 1 more decent trade setup to end on a good note. If I am gun shy then I will just pass the trade up and be done for the day.
I had a question on the Combine, CL and NT.
Just to clarify one is allowed to Enter trades on NT at o800 as long as exits are done by 1510. ? I will be doing my first 10day combine this monday.
When trading Crude (CL) you are not allowed to be in a trade when the Crude Oil Inventories release comes out on Wednesday's at 10:30am. Make sure you always check because some weeks it comes out on Thursdays instead. For your own good I would make sure that all positions are closed about 10 minutes before the release and wouldn't enter for at least 5 minutes after the release preferably 10 minutes.
Make sure that you note that the 1510 is central time NOT eastern and I would never be in a position past 1500. Hope that helps and good luck!
Here is my Combine trade report for today. I am pleased! Hoping that they will consider me for a funded account. They may ask me to go through Live Trader Preparation. I don't know. This is all new territory for me from this point on and I am looking forward to it.
