Hello HenryandSteen,

First of all, best of luck with your trading. Striving for simplicity is a great goal.
However, not knowing what you are doing, and not having a plan does severely limit your probability of success.
Why is it that you trade, what is your objective?

My experience tells me having a strict plan will result in alot of loss. Dont know why? This is my first attemp to do everything backwards.
My objective is to try this experiement out and see if it yields better returns than what I have done in the past.

Welcome on-board and good luck with the journal, it has helped me a lot even though I treat it far too casually. Just a question - which of the 'Trading Experience: Advanced' or 'I have no real clue as to what I'm doing' is true? (I'm assuming the former ) It will be interesting to see if your no-plan meta-plan works ..

Best Wishes and Top Trades to you!

Goodluck to you HenryandSteen,
Trading instinct vs trading a plan is quite unique.
Look forward to following your trades.

True story - I was doing really well, profitable for 6 months about 1 year after I started, and I had no clue as to what I was doing. Did all the wrong things, averaged in average out, but one thing kept me alive and that was I would fold on a loss of about 1 to 2k

then I got smart and of course unprofitable so sad but true

Today more risk taken , holding more with a read on some liquidity . Everything still kept rather vague .
Its not hard to see that when you fear losing your risk goes up . Im not gonna fight it .. have done before and not gonna do again , instead just accept it and make it a positive thing . When I start crying about emotional bs its game over . You have to love the rollercoaster

Still got a 2 contract gold sitting .. which is gonna be kept overnight

Why do you assume you will fail? Is it because you have no goals? What do you think would happen if you assumed you would win and not fail? And if that assumption of winning is based on a plan you had developed, thoroughly tested, and learned to trust and trust your ability to trade it?

Kudos to you for an unconventional approach. All of the best to you in your trading.

Wolf

Looks good!

Do you have many concurrent trades running or lots of fast ones and only a few slow ones? I'm puzzled by the average time in market given the number of trades and it's only for one day, but as yet I know absolutely nothing about Ninja statistics so please excuse my ignorance on this (e.g. if the averaging is over a much longer period), I'm hoping to learn more for some strategy work next year.

I can, sorry to hear mate. Was the gamble part of the no-plan meta-plan?

I love the feeling of defeat just as much as I love the feeling of success. I dont understand why you would feel sorry

In fact I could go as far to say that I needed desperately to lose today.. in order to win back later . I lose because I need rest . Taking a day off will never produce that . Ive tried it too many times .. just take a chill pill bro... na aaah I come in with the same mindset after 3 years of taking a break.. You just have to accept it and make it something positive .

Conclusion for me was .. Losing was the only rational way for my brain to shut me the fk down . Learn to love it . nothing resets your mind better than a nice beating. Humbles the core of your soul so you can get rid of the boasting ego
