Journal: JourneyChild - Sprint to Live

On 9/3/2013, I'll start my 8th Combine - using the Basic Trading Plan below and the cooresponding SierraChart Playground Layout.

The Basic Trading Plan (BTP) V1.0...

The STS Practitioner will always be in the PIVOT mode of trading.
When the A-1920 (A-Anchor) and A-3535 is NOT FLAT, the Market Dance is TRENDING.

CAVEAT: Always know what J-3535 and J-1920 are doing,
when JERKs FLATTEN, you will have a Pivoting Market Dance!

When the Market Dances in PIVOTS!
(A-1920 or A-3535 is FLATTISH - Trade the color change of PRIME-377)

FOR SHORTS:

0. WAIT - while A-3535, A-1920 or JERKs FLAT and A-987 is OUTSIDE NARROWs?
1. WAIT for the PRIME-987 to inflect DOWN from ABOVE the Zero, preferably OUTSIDE the UPPER MIDs.
2. ENTER SHORT - when FLOWs have DOWN alerts. (PRIME-144, DELTA-144, A-3535, A-987, A-1920 are also going DOWN, preferably with A-987 coming DOWN from Zero or ABOVE).
3. EXIT SHORT - 1) when Trailing Stop is hit, 2) greater than negative 5 ticks from the minimum price reached, when the Trailing Stop had not moved, 3) when FLOW of JERKs DOWN alert turns off.

FOR LONGS:

0. WAIT - while A-3535, A-1920 or JERKs FLAT and A-987 is OUTSIDE NARROWs?
1. WAIT for the PRIME-987 to inflect UP from BELOW the Zero, preferably OUTSIDE the LOWER MIDs.
2. ENTER LONG - when FLOWs have UP alerts. (PRIME-144, DELTA-144, A-3535, A-987, A-1920 are also going UP, preferably with A-987 going UP from Zero or BELOW).
3. EXIT LONG - 1) when Trailing Stop is hit, 2) greater than negative 5 ticks from the maximum price reached, when the Trailing Stop had not moved, 3) when FLOW of JERKs UP alert turns off.

~0~0~0~

When the Market Dances in TRENDS!
(A-1920 or A-3535 is NOT FLATTISH and
A-987 goes OUTSIDE the NARROWs
- Trade the color change of A-1920, when in the Narrows)

FOR SHORTS:

0. WAIT - while A-3535, A-1920 or JERKs FLAT and A-987 is OUTSIDE NARROWs?
1. WAIT - for the A-987 to inflect DOWN from OUTSIDE the UPPER NARROWs.
2. ENTER SHORT - when FLOWs have DOWN alerts. (PRIME-144, DELTA-144, A-3535, A-987, A-1920 are also going DOWN, preferably with A-987 coming DOWN from Zero or ABOVE).
3. EXIT SHORT - 1) when Trailing Stop is hit, 2) greater than negative 5 ticks from the minimum price reached, when the Trailing Stop had not moved, 3) when A-987 enters UP into the LOWER NARROWs.

FOR LONGS:

0. WAIT - while A-3535, A-1920 or JERKs FLAT and A-987 is OUTSIDE NARROWs?
1. WAIT - for the A-987 to inflect UP from OUTSIDE the LOWER NARROWs.
2. ENTER LONG - when FLOWs have UP alerts. (PRIME-144, DELTA-144, A-3535, A-987, A-1920 are also going UP, preferably with A-987 going UP from Zero or BELOW).
3. EXIT LONG - 1) when Trailing Stop is hit, 2) greater than negative 5 ticks from the maximum price reached, when the Trailing Stop had not moved, 3) when A-987 enters DOWN into the UPPER NARROWs.

No matter what Dance the Market is doing...
When ENTERING a Position - DO NOT GO AGAINST;

0. A-987 OUTSIDE the NARROWs
1. PRIME-144 and DELTA-144
2. FLATTISH PRIME-377, A-3535, A-1920 or JERKs
3. A-987
4. A-1920 (A-Anchor)
5. A-3535

This is the Trading plan I will use as I start my 8th Combine.

I will be using this revised Playground Layout.

A few questions...

What is different with this 8th combine?

How far apart are these?

Always trading the same market?

Have you been changing your method?

Is this style purely TA? What do all these numbers and jargon mean?

This is Technical Analysis...

Forgive the jargon and numbers, but I had to create them as the DIVINE led me to refinements to the STO - (which I call the Sangha Trading Oscillators)

STO is based upon multiple tick timeframes of the MACD (or EMAs) with the following definition of the STO lines...
1. PRIME = the first order slope of the MACD for a specific timeframe
2. JERK = the 2nd order slope of the MACD for a specific timeframe
3. DELTA = JERK - PRIME
4. Combo_A (A) = PRIME + JERK
5. Combo_B (B) = PRIME + JERK (5 bars back)

Most importantly the concept of the NARROWs and Zero lines, calibrated to Up/Down trends of the financial instrument you are trading.

STO makes clear that the market is just cycles within cycles and it is when the STO lines sync up and FLOW together as ONE, that you should be in a position for that direction of FLOW.

The DIVINE continues to teach me on how to improve STO so it may be as mechanical as possible and less discretionary.

The target audiences for STO are...
1. novices and noobies
2. those who are not greedy and need a safe and steady income stream for serving others
3. those who want to trade the market and do not wish to pay experts thousands of dollars to learn a method

STO is in the public domain and is free for anyone to use with no strings.
But I only work with Sierra Charts and I will NOT support other platforms.

Use STO if it helps you.
just google "childrenofthejourney sangha", to learn STO on your own.

My 8th Combine is using PURE STO - no Fib levels, pivot points, volume indicators, market profiles, market news, nor pre-market analysis. I am learning to ride the "Waves of the market cycle" safely.

Why an 8th Combine?

Whenever I change my Trading Plan or Chart Layout drastically, I start another Combine.
This allows me to be OBEDIENT to the new Trading Plan and Layout.

I do the TST 30K - 10 Day, to see how well my new changes work in the continuing evolution and revelations I receive from the DIVINE concerning STO (Sangha Trading Oscillators).

I've always traded the same market, "CL" because it moves.

Thank you for your insightful questions.

8th Combine - Day 01

8th Combine - Day 01, 9/03/13: Using CL - GOAL of Total OBEDIENCE!

Running PL: +0.520 points - WOW - STO and OBEDIENCE saved the DAY!

1st Daily PL: -0.245 points in 6 fills - OBEDIENT!
2nd Daily PL: -0.205 points in 6 fills - NOT OBEDIENT!
3rd Daily PL: +0.560 points in 4 fills - OBEDIENT!
4th Daily PL: +0.225 points in 2 fills - OBEDIENT!

OBSERVATIONS:

OBEY the BTP (Basic Trading Plan) and FLATs of A-HOTs(Combo_A's of High-Order-Timeframes)/PRIMEs/JERKs and
use SiFi (Set It and Forget It- use Trailing Stop), when market is Trending!

I must wait for the Visual Vertical bar alerts!
FLAT is IMPORTANT - stay away when PRIME-377 is also FLAT!

WHAT I LEARNED:

1. The KEY is using the 987 Simplex with the NARROWs and with the PRIME-377 color change.
2. Take a position when the direction of the PRIME-144 and DELTA-144 is with you.
3. Exit when A-1920 goes against you.
4. BEFORE making an ENTRY - is A-3535 NOT FLAT and IS going with you?
5. Trending Market - A-3535 or A-1920 (A-HOTs) is NOT FLAT.
6. Pivoting Market - A-3535 or A-1920 (A-HOTs) is FLATTISH.
7. OK to take a position when PRIME-377 is FLAT, JERKs must be far from Zero (the way is clear).

DO NOT GO AGAINST...
0. Stay Away from FLAT - A-HOTs, PRIME-377 and JERKs
1. The A-3535
2. The A-1920
3. The A-987

Revised: The Basic Trading Plan...

Because of my experience with Day 02 of my 8th Combine...

For New STO Practitioners "Dancing with the Pivots of the Market" is too risky!

The Basic Trading Plan is revised to just "Dance with the Trends of the Market".

After all... We are Riders of the WAVE!
Doing our best to get in at the CREST of the Wave!

~O~O~

When the Market Dances in TRENDS!
(A-987, A-1920 or A-3535 is NOT FLATTISH and
A-987 goes OUTSIDE the NARROWs
- Trade the color change of A-1920, when in the Narrows)

FOR SHORTS:

0. WAIT - STAY AWAY from any FLATs.

FOR LONGS:

0. WAIT - STAY AWAY from any FLATs.

When ENTERING a Position - DO NOT GO AGAINST;

0. STAY AWAY from any FLATs!
1. A-987 OUTSIDE the NARROWs
2. PRIME-144 and DELTA-144
3. A-987
4. A-1920 (A-Anchor)
5. A-3535
