Ya, I need more screens to be able to do that.. Monaco, ya, you got the beach and the Med and you got the Alps a short drive away, what more could you want!
What a crazy day but it wrapped up an excellent week for me. I said I was bullish yesterday and expecting a rally. It came a day late.
Trading today was very difficult. ES was behaving like CL. The DOM usually has 5k on each side, today there was 800 on average. Not much interest at these prices. No one wants to sell because it's "low". No one wants to buy cause of the european crisis and fears of another crash. Overall this morning bulls outnumbered the bears. Have we seen the bottom or is this just a pullback? As I said in my video today I'm waiting for END of trend (down) on the 40500 tick and we're about to start a down cycle. If that down cycle is violated to the upside that would be very bullish and support the view that we saw the bottom.
Today I only took a few trades. I was hesitant, even on sim. I just don't like trading when it's crazy. My normal method doesn't work as well. But I wanted to have some fun with it since it's so unusual so I used a separate sim account "Test" for the risky trades. In the end my Sim101, my normal trading, was profitable and my Test was not. This gives me confidence in the fact that I can pick out the high probablity setups.
Here's all the trades:
And the serious ones (Sim101 only):
And finally my weekly P/L. This is a mix of real & sim. No losers this week!
We'll see if it continues next week. In fact next week I plan to use a bit tighter stops so I'm prepared to have some losers, as long as they're small.
I'll post a video update this weekend. I'm anxious to see what the commercial hedgers are doing.
Have a good weekend.

One good thing about this crazy volatility is I trade less and have more time for programming.
Here's a sneak peak at the POT with buying & selling volume separated. I haven't been recording ES GOM data so I can only test with yesterday but so far it's very interesting. To do this properly I need time resolution greater than Ninja can provide. I'm going to prototype it on Tradestation. If you all have any ideas let me know.
