After the scary crash yesterday, most bottom VPOCs (that I knew) were touched. Am unable to identify one as reference and will use IB, VAL and Close etc if it wants to fall further.

Have a Successful day!

No...

Do you want to be embarrassed by placing losing trades because you aren't clear about a method, or embarrassed because you are new to a method and might make a mistake in snagit on a chart... this is nothing to worry about, decision is easy/clear.

Mike

Thanks Mike. I agree with you that it's not embarrassing to make mistakes when one is new to a method. It's embarrassing "however" to me IF I do not have enough knowledge to start plotting it. I watched your video again and wrote down more notes. Now I know LH can happen after HL (which I thought was not allowed) and HL can happen after LH etc etc. In short, HH-HL-HH and LL-LH-LL are the clearer patterns else one can label anything when the market is undecided LOL!

Another Green morning to finish the week (All Green this week .. haha)!

Goals Accomplished:

1. No Over-Trade. Now I am Certified to be a Disciplined Trader and have been a good girl following my Trade Plan LOL!

2. Preserve Precious Capital. Strive my best not to let a winning trade become a losing one. For today's 2nd contract, I could have held on a little longer. Will do better the next round.

Emotion: Very calm since not much heat and the whole trade was closed within a minute.

Weekly Recaps:

3-7 May

$472.50 based on MP/Perry's
$537.50 incl the PA impromptu trade

26-30 Apr

-$20

19-23 Apr (Did not trade on 23 Apr)

$701 (around this I believe)

Recap since resuming sim-trading on 19 April (14 trading mornings): 13 Green vs 1 Red

What's Next?

1. Weekend review
2. Prepare a Balance Sheet based on Bob Proctor's You Were Born Rich - This will motivate my subconscious to work very hard on my "Successful Trader Beth" goal!! Oh, believe it or not, I created a blog successfultraderbeth months ago.

Happy & Successful Trading!

Beth

Upon completion of the first two 30-minute brackets, we have a wide Initial Balance (IB) of 42 points, ie between 1090.75 and 1132.75.

Today's Value Area (range of 28) as of this moment:

VAH 1132.50
POC 1116.50
VAL 1104.50

Price opened @1121.50 and it's within yesterday's Value Area.

According to the 80% Rule strategy, trading from a responsive versus initiative mind frame would be preferred. Follow the flow!

I felt very accomplished after taking care of the following :

1. Our plants are now happy and I even did some of their hair-cuts LOL! Oh, may do N's this weekend .. I've been his hair stylist for 2 years .. smile .. Had nothing to do one winter and took an evening hair styling course.

2. Laundry .. Laundry .. Just threw in the last load ..

3. Scanned through most of the Al Brooks book. It's quite dry .. Maybe the website information will be more entertaining?! Will check it out.

4. Another non-baking cheesecake in the fridge and ready to be decorated in the afternoon. Not sure why they do not have a 1-cup package for organic whipping cream and we need to use the remaining half. Will share it with our neighbor.

What's Next?

To prepare a Balance Sheet (with Successful Trading as the goal) will be the next to tackle! Then listen to some trading audio clips. Last but not least, my trading plan for next week.

Wishing you all a Relaxing weekend.

Some of you may have the solution for me. Thanks in advance.

That's what happened yesterday (sim environment):

1. I had a strategy running on ES and it had a Long position with 2 pending orders for PT and SL respectively.

2. I placed a manual Long trade (not writing off the auto Long position) and add 2 pending orders (PT and SL) when it's filled.

3. When my manual trade was closed, I noticed the 2 pending orders of the auto Long were cancelled by the system!

Did some of you experience the same issue? If yes, how did you solve it? Appreciate any suggestion. Thank you.

Note: I checked with NJ Customer Service before IF one should have 2 accounts to run a strategy and do discretionary trades separately. He said one can use the same account to do both as trades trigger by a strategy will not mess up with the manual ones. However, he does suggest having 2 separate accounts for easier management.

Hi Beth,

nice sequence of charts !

Could I ask if you can share and post the templates of the first two charts listed in the above mentioned post ? (...not the one including the volume ladder indicator )
In the first chart starting from left to right is that small window showing the day range manual or automatically designed (plotted) ?

Thanks in any case for your appreciate valuable work that shows a very strong interest in this field, that I am sure will deliver you good and strong satisfactions at the end !

Only one advise : remember always, SYM is not REAL, the emotional factor is the "x-factor" that is always different for eachone, ambush, and BTW involve each person with different aspects and evidences in the trading behaviour, but more frequently in their reactions to a specific situation. .

Have a very good weekend

I completed mapping out my Successful Trader Beth paradym ... Time to celebrate LOL!

Looking at the "-" column, I do not really have anything to lose .. haha .. Great news! Will pin it (a beautiful copy) on my Vision Board. Yes, I have an orange yellow cardboard and it's my first posting .. smile ..
