Early Trading Report for Friday

With Big Mike's "Happy Friday" best wishes, I am thrilled to report having a profitable trade seconds ago. PT 8 got hit within 23 seconds LOL!

Note: I did not place a pair of OCO trades as I opine that we do not have enough room for the downside (6 ticks from the most recent LL). Instead, I waited for a Buy opportunity and got in 2 ticks in favor.

Weekly Total: 43 ticks before commission.

Report on my Learning Progress

Now you know I am still a "learning sponge" .. Finished reading 2.5 threads yesterday, ie

- 2 threads created by aztrader9 (highly recommended)
- 1 MultiCharts thread created by Big Mike (lots of great ideas and sharing if you are considering MultiCharts)

What I have learned?

1. From aztrader9, I felt like reading about myself and my trading venture. I went through almost the same psychological "turmoil" + embarked on a never-ending system/indicator search! Glad that it's now over! My heartfelt thanks to aztrader9 for his genuine sharing!

2. From Big Mike's MultiCharts thread, I now have a better understanding on the application + the good news that it will soon have a DOM for trading. I really look forward to it so that I won't be subscribing to NJ - cost saving .. haha ..

Oh, I came across a very cool video clip on preparing a Trading Plan (it's on aztrader9 thread) - great refresher.

http://progressive.powerstream.net/008/00102/edu/interactive/quinto_videos/video2/index.html

I am going to upload Jeff Quinto's "Getting Started: Building a Sound Foundation for Your Trading Career" to the Education section. Enjoy!

Value Area as at 10:35 am: 1090.25 - 1087.75 - 1085.25 (5 points)
Price opened @1087.50
Today's High and Low as at 10:35 am: 1092.75 and 1084.00
VPOCs: Top 1108.75 (1090.75 was touched) and Bottom VPOC 1039.50
Overnight High and Low: 1094.75 and 1085.75

You can tell from the enclosed that it's extremely narrow. No major news today ... Hmm, not sure if Mr Market is already on his "weekend" mood. Let's trade with the Trend!

Tri-weekly Performance Review

1. Trading Results (in ticks)

First week (5-9 Jul) 8 | 7 contracts | 1.143/contract | 5 winners 2 losers
Second week (12-16 Jul) 16 | 2 contracts | 8/contract | 2 winners
Third week (19-23 Jul) 43 | 8 contracts | 5.375/contract | 7 winners 1 loser

I recalled all trades were based on valid signals. Room for improvement: Need to polish my trade management skills to safeguard full SL.

2. Fear/Emotion

I feel like a different person this week. Still have occasional numbed fingers yet my petite heart has been functioning normal 90% of the time .. smile ..

Let's give the trader (me) a B please as I do follow the news rule to the dot!!

My trillion thanks again for standing by me all these months. Take care and enjoy a Lovely weekend.

Beth (I'm going to take Nelson out for dinner tonight.)

Thanks Mike!

I just spotted an inadvertent typo on your post (underlined and bold). Yes, Nelson loves The BlackShop .. smile .. His morning leads have not been working out so far and just came home. We may have a Summerlicious lunch instead. Will see.

No disrespect intended! I edited my post.

Summerlicious? Is that a place, or does it mean home cookin' ?
