Great to see some action.

But don't trade with 20 cars in sim. It messes up your mind. Completely.

It's nice to see those big numbers, but remember they can be big in the red too. You only trade 20 cars when your account is big enough for 20 car. So if you say $10.000 for 1 contract traders, that's an account of $200.000, even some say (including me) that on CL you need at least $25.000 for a 1 or 2 car trader, that means what ? Trading 20 cars on CL put's you into the $250.000 to $500.000 account traders. Are you going to be that wgreenie ? honestly ?

The problem is when you pull those big numbers you think you can do it with a small account, it's possible, but take my word for it, it will not happen.

Don't go there wgreenie, you will one day take the risque of trading big lots with small accounts and it will be BOOM! gone !

No worries MetalTrade. I only did mega-lot trades for half an hour yesterday. I consider myself a logical person .. already switched back to 1- and 2-contract ones today.

Is it possible to stablize the MT4 DOM so that it will not move? When CL is moving, it's challenging to place a trade at the price I want to enter. My guess is No. Maybe the experts know and please drop me a line. Thank you.

Thanks for your tips MetalTrade. Just noticed the Dom Properties tab and changed Auto-Track to Centered (from Smooth). It's not moving as much now .. what a relief .. made me dizzy ..

agree, learn to be bore because lets face it some days are just not worth trading (and you are all set to trade on that day) either you just sit there staring at the screen or step away doing something else.

I don't know MetalTade. When I click on the "Contract" icon, enclosed is the only option available. Maybe I am fooling myself to change Autotrack to Centered .. still moving .. seemed at a lower speed. Will see when the market opens.

Thanks!

that is not a static DOM so it's completely useless and trading on it will make your loss bigger, don't use that dom it's a waste of time

why did you moved to another trading program ?

the succes is not in your method or your toolbox, it's YOU YOU YOU!

have you read trading in the zone yet this month ? :-)

good luck

Hi MetalTrade

I signed up for a 4-week program and it's on MT4 platform (no other option). I don't like the platform .. well, only 1.5 weeks left and I will resume using Ninja again.

Metal,

Might I suggest that you ease up a bit...as in ease up on the boasting and ease up on the heavy-handed berating of other people.

One of the best things a developing trader can do is to get over one's narcissistic sensitivities... and listen to advice of traders who have been around much longer.

Endlessly switching from one approach to another for months / years leads nowhere... but most of us have to take that trip before we're ready to 'settle down'.

Exiledgoblin, So is this your thread ?

I try to help wgreenie by pointing out that the problem is she's always jumping searching for another tool/indicator/system.

That's just my personal opinion, of course, I respect yours.

Endlessly switching from one approach to another for months / years leads nowhere... but most of us have to take that trip before we're ready to 'settle down'.

Of course it leads nowhere (or is that now here?). Everything leads us somewhere. Perhaps somewhere we need to be. I don't understand all the rush these days. All seem to be driving faster, talking faster, reading emails faster (and missing MOST of what I was trying to convey to them in the email!) What's the rush? Is there a fire somewhere that I wasn't aware of? It's like all these people found out the world was ending & realized they forgot to pack! Slow down. Take time. If it's supposed to, it WILL happen.

We have to learn from our OWN mistakes. Not someone else's.
I have rarely known anyone who took my advice.
They almost always take their own.

That's how we learn & grow. It's a necessary part of life. I think as a trader, that's how we approach, develop, refine and ultimately find our own individual "holy grail". It's a search for what's buried deep inside us. Most, if not all of us, at one time or another kept changing things until it "felt" right or until we got it right. Beth is doing what is necessary for all of us to eventually get to that point of confidence.

I've seen and heard a whole bunch of seasoned professional traders out there whose advice I would NOT want to take. It works for them, but that's not for me. It's ok to listen, learn, and then discern. We have to find our own way.

I just adopted 2 kittens last week and it's amazing to see how they keep 'changing' things until they find something that works. They keep at it, and at it and at it until they find a way that works for them.

It's the perseverance, commitment and consistency that will ultimately pay off for you, Beth.

Keep it up Beth! You're doing what you need to do.

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

I congratulate Beth on an honest and open journal.

Beth has displayed a lot of persistence and continuation in intelligently adapting and modifying her methods and learning from her experience and the experience of others. I commend her for it.

To use the word "endlessly" puts an unnecessary negative tone into Beth's journal. If something isn't working or it doesn't work for you then it makes sense to switch and try something else. To keep doing what you are doing an expect different results in not intelligent.

Your statement is also untrue. Changing and adapting is how we learn.

Who are you referring to with "narcissistic sensitivities"? This phrase is not polite and has no place in this forum and certainly not in someone's personal trading journal. The whole seems full of know-it-alls who would foist their unasked for opinion on someone else. Being around a long time is not necessarily the hallmark of a person qualified to give advice.

I don't see your journal posted. Do you have one? If you have a great system then why not share it Beth?

Thanks everyone for your tips. I slowed down this week as I am still under the weather. This morning was very bad .. never felt so sick in years.

Good news: I did a 10-pip 6E trade for my program yesterday .. regained some lost ground. Went over 30 after my exit yet I was happy for my 1-contract runner. Can't expect to have a mega runner unless or until I have faith in my Market Profile reading lol!

How I define an ideal trading system?

1. Give specific entry point
2. Offer rewarding risk/reward ratio (at least 1:1 and ideally better)
3. Provide room to run .. not just 4-5 pips
4. Offer guidance to adjust stoploss according to price movement
5. Give warning alert

Last but not least, I must have the required confidence and competence in executing the signals on a consistent/successful manner. Getting there .. smile ..

hey Beth, i hope you are feeling better, being sick is no fun.i read your journal, and apparently, alot of others do!i see the difference in opinions, and the conviction behind them..the important thing, is everyone is rooting for you!!
i went back to simulating , in january this year.i started getting up at 3 am to watch the 6b and 6e.not to trade....to create
i felt , if i were to get to the next level, i needed to do the work necessary.i sent you a message, asking about the holy grail, and ended up using perrys methodology.
its remarkable, that, after the various rooms ive been in, and all the people i spoke with, how off track i had gotten a few times.but, each time, i recovered quicker, and realized that all the sidetracks that i took, were necessary.i say this , because , i feel that, after a long 4 months of realistic hard work, i have a simple method i believe in.my charts are no longer covered with indicators.just a few mov avgs, and a macd.
it sounds like you have been searching for a while , like me.i listened to mikes webinar, and he talks about not changing indicators and methods.i agree.i would venture to think, that most of the setups i looked at for the past few months, would have worked fine, but i didnt give them a chance, as i moved on to something else.the only changes i make now are subtle.
i told a friend, that , i wanted to stop pondering this stuff 24 hours a day.i just want to turn on the computer, work my scheduled time frame, and shut off the computer, and forget about it.finding a simple method, and keeping my charts , helped.but heres the thing, i had to go thru all the other stuff, to finally get to this point
well, still simulating here, and i am cautiously optimistic.part of my discipline , is to just do what ive been doing, because it has been working.simple.you hang in there Beth, we are all rooting for you
Bobby

A crispy one .. smile ..

Only did 3 trades for the program this week, ie

Tue 1 2-contract CL -16 (2 x -8)
Wed 1 1-contract 6E +10 (1 x 10)
Fri 1 2-contract CL +20 (2 x 10)

Note: I did not count my great performance on Ninja lol. Also stopped using the Ninja DOM so that I am more focussed.

I cannot recall what happened to the CL losing trade. Believe I was getting anxious to place a trade. Will check the trade time and review the signal this weekend. Am satisfied with the weekly result. For the coming/last week, I plan to place 2 trades (if I am quick enough), ie 1 2-contract and 1 1-contract ones with the third contract as a potential runner.

Time to sign-off and wishing you all a Relaxing weekend.

Beth

I went through my NT and training logs for Tuesday. I had so much fun experimenting multiple-contract trades on NT (most were green) in the morning. I deserved the enclosed losing one for the program. Why?

I was 2 bars late and I entered 4 ticks worse than the suggested price. It went +9 if one was prompt (SL would be manually adjusted to BE). Now I recall my thinking then .. "Still around the suggested price even it went +9 already .. a small pullback for me to enter and it would drop more."

Note: Need to add an hour to the enclosed for EST.

Well, no chasing! I simply couldn't resist the temptation + I always think CL drops or rises really hard .. +9 is nothing and will fall harder. I forgot it loves reversing too .. oooo

I will do my very best to tame my "chasing" trait in the coming days.

Believe you have had a Relaxing weekend. Fruitful one here .. and I was occupied with baking and domestic tasks lol. It's again time to make a birthday cake for UKNOWHO. When my preferred cream cheese was out-of-stock, I suggested making one next weekend. Oh, no no no .. he found another organic one .. light version. Well, it's softer .. still tasty. Want a glimpse:

Will now set-up the charts .. anticipate a slow Monday as some countries are on holiday. Spotting 1-2 signals may still work out .. smile ..

I'd like to thank a trading friend Brian who shared his MT4 platform tips with me last Fri afternoon.
Also my Big Big Thank You to all of You who have been very supportive since Day 1!

Have a Great week ahead everyone.

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I read your entire thread.

There is not much to say that has not been said already.

I think there is so much info out there for the beginning trader....it is like drinking from a fire hose.

You have to find out what works for your personality.

You have to find out the truth about what works in trading regardless of who is trading. What is fluff vs. what is real.

This is time consuming.

Then you have to make a package of it, learn it and make a habit of it all.

It can be a long journey indeed.

Wish you all the best.

Thanks MetalTrade for your tip. I have not been reacting to strawberries .. it's not my favorite fruit. I reacted to not fully riped kiwi and cactus pear so far .. and occasionally grapefruit (too acidic). No more strawberries in the fridge .. no worries.

I did 14 trades as of this moment (13 CL and 1 6E). My first 3 CL trades all went +7 before reversing. I could not even flatten my position (the button is not working - gosh). All ended up full SO with one has 3 pips slippage. I am really mad with the platform.

Same dilemma continued .. +8 .. +9 .. all ended up losing at the end because my PT 10 was not touched. I did strive to adjust my SL diligently to minimize the damage. The 6E one was profitable for +20 (2x10) for a short while and closed at +6 (2x3). Tried to give it more room to run.

When I was getting close to $1K daily loss maximum, I reduced the trade size to 1 contract. Made a few profitable trades and regained some lost ground.

In conclusion, I don't like the MT platform. It may work for slower markets and definitely not CL. Could also be me lol.

Anticipating a quiet morning turned out to be an extremely busy one for me. Life always offers nice surprises.

Continue enjoying your day.

Beth, I love this thread! I have been out of the game for about a year and returned to this forum and spent the past 3 hours reading through it. I have yet to finish it and perhaps this question has been asked already but here goes...

As you have grown in your trading experience, what set of indicators are you using currently? I would love to see what you have found that works, and what doesn't work so well. Thanks for your contributions!!!!!!!!

Beth, I love this thread! I have been out of the game for about a year and returned to this forum and spent the past 3 hours reading through it. I have yet to finish it and perhaps this question has been asked already but here goes...

Thanks Caveman for your kind compliments. Considering your Advanced status, we love sharing your tips too.

Having performed diligent testing/exploration of systems/indicators for almost two years (over 10,000 hours), I estimate that most functional systems are at least 60-70% profitable. It's up to the trader to make it or break out .. haha ..

My favorite systems include and not limited to the following:

1. Jeff's Inside Bar (extremely easy to manage/SL cushion is my only concern)
2. Sniper's Divergence Signal (both visual/audio alerts when divergence maybe in progress with suggested entry on the chart/timing and frequency are my issues)
3. Perry's System and The Wizard's Hopping Clouds (simple and straight-forward systems/trade management (when/where to enter) had been my challenge as I was either too early or late to the party)

My favorite indicators:

1. Price Action Swing (save me scratching my petite head on where to plot HH/HL/LL/LH labels)
2. Momentum osc such as DMPlus (incl ADX), Forex Index, MACD BB and SMI
3. SuperTrend .. so many versions available all give me a good idea on the current trend or trend reversal
4. Support/Resistance such as Dynamic SR, Bollinger, Keltner and MM .. I love their visual impact so that I have something to look up/down even the market may not respect these levels
5. MP with accu volume .. still learning how to benefit from HVN/LVN (potential PT/SL areas). Only figure out how to make it work for 6E (other currencies) and not CL/index futures yet. Will take a break until I experience a breakthrough unexpectedly. My weakness has always been spending too much time to uncover/solve myths ..

My favorite period type for my chart: I am using 5-RangeNoGap (from 3R) and feel quite comfortable with a 6- to 8-pip stoploss cushion for 6E/CL.

April was a special month (not only because I have started a 4-week training program). I spent more hours in reviewing my set-ups (many new comers in and out after market replay/sim)/trading plan/trade management. It hit home that System A works well for Traders A-B-C-D yet it did not work for me. Same for Systems B-C-D-E-F-... There was frustration when I got mad at my incompetence in making their "profitable" systems worked for me.

Then I started drafting out my preferred system and its features. Believe it or not, I created my system (not very crowded with indicators this time) and have been testing it for some weeks now. It's a simple color system .. no need to think too much. You know me .. when I think too much .. I will get myself into trouble.

I did 1 6E (around 2:00 am) and 1 CL (closed it 2 minutes before US open) so far.

1. 6E went +11 (my PT @12) and I exited +6.
2. CL went +20 (my PT @20 .. not filled) and reversed against my trade -8 max (SL @10). I held on even my fingers were really itchy to close my position when my gains dropped from +18 something to +10 .. +4 .. -6 etc. I ended up closing it +13 when it ran +40 (my PT 20 would be filled) without me. Well, no open position close to market open (one of the rules) .. ..

Even I chose to hold both trades, I still cannot understand the logic behind. Why not go for +10 (for 6E) and +10 (for CL) when pullback/retracement started?! Maybe it's a strategy for one to hold without a PT + it's the last contract when one has already realized some gains for the first batch. Just a myth that I need more time to digest.

Have a Great day everyone!

I would personally never let a trade that touches my target go back to negative anything. I've seen it happen too many times, especially on the CL. My ATM's are set to do 2 things when my target is touched. First my stop is moved to half of my target. So, for a 20 tick target, touching the target would move my stop to +10. Second, I have a 2 tick Target chase, I let the ATM adjust to take 2 ticks less on my target if price starts to slow down and hesitate after touching my target. I believe in the old adage, never let a winner turn into a loser, especially if it touches my target.

Thanks Monpere for your tip. I will definitely learn to set up my Ninja ATM per your suggestion. Will knock at your door if I am unable to program it. Oh, nothing can be done on MT4 lol. Maybe an add-on will work which I have no plan to purchase one.

I did 2 more CL trades after my most recent update, ie

1. -4 (Did go +11)
2. +20 (It went further yet I'm happy. I was doing only 1 contract .. having PT hit is great!)

Now my account is back to the green zone!

I tried my 6E MP template on CL again. Surprise .. surprise it works today, ie I can see the accu volume lol! Guess I gave it more screen space and it's more legible now .. haha ..

No more trades until I am back in the afternoon. Will focus on 6E then.

We're back after 3:00 pm EST. No more 6E/CL trades for today. Let's hope I will perform well for the remaining week.

What I did different today?

1. I changed PT/SL to 20/10 (from 15/8) for CL. 6E remains the same, ie PT/SL @10/6.

2. I used Flatten to close a position (found out how it worked .. pressed it real hard). It's more efficient that dragging an existing PT/SL. Then "x" to close all pending orders.

Night-night.

Here it comes a crispy recap on the 3 CL trades I did this morning:

1. -4 (went +7 and adjusted SL got hit)
2. -10 (I got in 2 pips late (UKNOWME I am always reluctant to place a stop order). It hit my SL 10 before going down 30 pips my direction - gosh!)
3. +1 (went +13 and I adjusted SL to +1. Hit me then resumed my direction .. now +30.)

I did a good move on the first trade because it reversed to the opposite direction after my early exit. SL cushion of 10-20 would get hit. For the second trade, "if" I got in at the suggested entry, my SL would stay intact and it stood a higher chance to be a profitable one. It also depends if I may choose to adjust my SL manually. At least my full stop would not be hit. For the last one, it's a judgement call. I only adjusted my SL to +1! It went 110.76 (my entry @110.74) then back to my direction.

Soooo, my only regret could be the last trade (which I did 2 contracts). If I cashed in +10/+13, I could have regained the lost ground. The morning is still young and I will continue waiting/spotting high probability signals.

Note: I missed 2 good signals (between 8:00 and 8:30 am) before doing my first trade. They're smooth sails esp when I missed taking them lol!

Happy & Successful Ticks everyone. Me2!

I did a Long seconds ago. They hit my SL 10 before rallying up .. now 20+! This time I placed a buy stop and no slippage. Everything looked good (still) and just that they love hitting my SL and run without me in it!

Now I am seriously thinking if I should adjust my CL SL to 15 (from 10) ... ooooo ..

Today is a big day for CL (release of the weekly crude oil report). My charts froze minutes before 10:30 am and again after .. now seemed moving. Funny that only the charts froze and not the DOM. I am going to email NT CS and see if they may have a good reason for the frozen issue.

could be your computer can't process large number ticks fast, in my case frozen chart went away after I gave it 3G of memory.

Thanks Cory for your tip. I am using a laptop (per enclosed specs) to run only 2 CL charts. NT CS just responded to my frozen question. He reviewed the trace file and made the following comments:

I'm not seeing any errors or disconnections listed, so I think this is a matter of NinjaTrader failing to keep up with indicator calculations and calculations required for display of charts and other windows.

I will SOH when it's important news time + when the charts are not plotting. No big deal .. supposed to be a "good" girl anyway .. smile ..

I did 4 CL trades this morning (per enclosed). They're all valid signals. With the exception of the first trade (which only went +7 and I exited -4), all remaining three should be profitable ones of 20+ even on my book they're not. Main reasons:

1. I took conservative entries this morning = 8-10 pips less favorable than regular entry points
2. SL 10 does not provide enough pullback/retracement room

Emotion-wise: I feel fine because it's not human operation error lol. No chasing too.

I am going to adjust CL's PT/SL to 20/15. Let's see if there will be good signals in the afternoon.

I close a CL short seconds ago (shorted @109.00). It went +27 and I let it run. Adjusted SL got hit +6. I wonder how one digests/accepts situation like that?!

Could be the last trade of the day.

Hi Beth
How is it that in one post you say that you are setting CL TP at 20 and then say a subsequent trade made +27 but you closed for +6?

Just wondering?

Hi Lindsay

Yes, CL TP @20 .. just that I was practising my MP HVN/LVN knowledge and adjusted my PT as the trade moved. Am learning to stay in a trade longer!

MT4 platform "sucks"!!

I had AOCO (Automatic OCO) and S (Stop order) on all the time (will be in Red). When I thought I was placing a Buy Stop @105.81 (around 9:48 EST), it became a market buy order and I was in @105.70. Another shock was it did not come with a pair of OCO. Then I realized both icons were black, ie AOCO and S features were off.

As fast as I could press the Close Pos button, it's already -15 (2x-15=-30) ... oooo ..

I swear I noticed their on-and-off deactivation behaviour and have been very cautious in double-checking before placing my order. They're red seconds ago and they tricked me.

Good news: I recovered from this unfortunate incident and entered the second Short trade 20 seconds later. It was a winner 2x20 .. +10 now. For my internal record should be +40 .. haha ..

Have a Great day.

Just closed a 6E short +20 (2 x 10) seconds ago. I'm officially done for the morning. Note: Need to add 1 hour to the trade time.

My internal record for this morning: CL +40 and 6E +20.

I did a late 6E trade (1 contract) last night (close to midnight). Initial SL @1.4544 .. getting drowsy and adjusted it to 1.4543. Got stopped out before its dropping 14-20 pips immediately. What's new!!

Only did 1 CL trade this morning +60 (3 x 20). Last day .. can't wait to switch back to NT lol!

Yes Hapster, I agree with you 1,000,000,...%. Last day of the 4-week program .. on sim lol!

The 2 CL charts on my laptop have been frozen after my exit .. cannot cope with CL's price movement. I tried to relocate my CL charts to my trading desktop. It's now frozen too .. over half an hour now. No trading without charts.

The good news is: I placed an order for 2 X 2GB RAM Kit for my desktop. Upon its arrival/installation, it will have 6 GB RAM (from 4GB) which may improve the performance. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I am ... ooooo. I did a system scan and it came up with the 2x2GB RAM kit suggestion. I am going to call the desktop vendor and confirm - gosh!

Hi MetalTrade

You're right .. no RAM increase for my Windows XP desktop .. sigh ..

My vendor suggests NT de-installation and re-installation since other non-NT programs have not been frozen. It may have some corrupted files. It should not be RAM related as my desktop has 4GB RAM.

Sooooo, my worst nightmare .. for a non-tech person (me) to de-install/re-install and loses some valuable indicators/strategies/workspaces ...

Beth (Grateful for your tip .. not sure if the e-Bay RAM seller will accept my cancellation request.)

First 2 Weeks: Not performing (under the weather and technical platform issues)
Third Week: Performing for the first four days. Got side-tracked the last day with friends' systems
Last Week: Performing (my best week)

Lessons (more like reminder):

1. Discipline and Focus are the most critical successful factors (same for most life goals anyway)
2. Stay Alert (make sensible decision SOH when not 100%)
3. No chasing and patiently wait for another high probability signal

Benefits gained:

1. Increased confidence in both myself and system
2. More ingrained beliefs and improved behavior in trading
3. Cure to my earlier "trigger shy" issue

Will I recommend the program to others? Yes and No.

1. The platform sucks when I compare its features with NT
2. Unexpected de-activation of chosen trade management features (such as Automatic OCO and Stop order) has added unnecessary stress/panic to the trader. (Guess how they responded to my request "fixing the trade log"? It's the trader's responsibility and refused to fix the log for me.)
3. For those who want a funded a/c of US$50K (not trading own funds) and are confident to reach/over-exceed their $6K requirement (they just lowered the former $8K to $6K), go for it! Just be sure that you feel comfortable to use the platform to trade FIRST before signing up for the program.

Have a Nice Sunday/Great week ahead.

Beth

I gather you finished the 4-week program...

What were the results?

Normally you post your post-game results

Hi Jungian

I posted the weekly results for the first two weeks (-1 and -41 I think). Then started posting most daily results from the third week onward. Remember the last two weeks were green ones. For the last week, made over 60 pips for most mornings. The vendor has already de-activated my account upon completion of the program last Fri.

Now I'm confident that enjoying profitable months is attainable IMHO.

UKNOWHO has started a new partnership arrangement this week. Need to take good care of him - first priority. I am also occupied with a potential business opportunity. May not be trading this week.

Have a Successful week everyone!

Thanks Jungian for your clarification. As I was not performing for the first two weeks + being naughty for the third Friday, I ended up Green yet not green enough to be hired lol!

Hi Everyone

It's an amazing and challenging journey since I started this thread in February 2010. My first one! Never imagined before that I would be active in a public forum. Time flies .. sometimes felt like being in the trading business for decades .. smile.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you for standing by me since Millisecond One! With you accompanying me for these 15 months, I believe I've accomplished the million benchmark .. haha ..

I am grateful to Big Mike who offers a family-like community. I'm proud to be a Big Mike family member!

I was and still am thrilled to start my learning with Jeff's All You Need thread (my first 3-digit post thread to read) .. then his Inside Bar set-up. Thanks Jeff!

I got lucky and tripped over The Wizard's threads. Have been knocking at his door "ever-since" and he has never turned me away. The Wizard has been using his magical wand to make my dreams come true. Thanks David!

I am a big fan of Perry's platform. Thanks Perry for sharing your wisdom with me!

I made a second attempt to automate Perry's method (all BETA of course). It was a very nice surprise that Mike W took it over and offered us professional strategies to play with. Thanks Mike!

SUPER-MEGA BIG BIG Thank You to Ann, Soumeya, Alan, Andrew, Ben, Bob, Brian, Chris, Cory, Danny, Dave, David, Dorschden, Eric, Fat Tails, Gary, Gregory, Ian, Jack, Jim, Jon, Jungian, Kari, Ken, Lindsay, Max, Monpere, MetalTrade, PicoTrader, Puppeye, Roonius, Sharky, Tellytub, Trendisyourfriend, Trippenlatin, WestBeach, Vic, Xev, Zoe and .. .. .. .. .. .. Please forgive me if your name is not mentioned. Your giant lift has made my trading life easier!

I am going to pursue a business venture. Started last week I have been extremely occupied these days/nights .. back to 24/7. Will not be posting in the thread anymore. I have requested Big Mike to close it this weekend.

Take care and be Happy & Healthy Always!

Beth (grateful)

Wgreenie, thank you for all those hours of efforts and writing it all down. I learned a lot from your work.

You will do great in your new business venture. Canada was strong in the crisis, in Europe the crisis is over, so this is the best time to kick in and get ready for business. You're a smart woman, if you only put half of your efforts you did in trading in your work you will stand out of a crowd and people will recognize you are a winner!

All the best and enjoy life, it's very short but beautiful. We all have to make decisions every day, and life is for people who have the guts to make decisions, like you just did.

I have no doubt you will succeed, congrats and good luck on your venture !! GO FOR IT GIRL!!!

I will miss this thread!

Huh? You were doing so well, making great gains in your trading...and you're going to stop?!!!

Oh well, thank you for your journal, and I wish you well in your new business venture.

Hi Gulabv

There was a December when either me or my function was mentioned on the paper/magazine (almost all papers in Hong Kong lol). Big posters on popular bus/tram shelters and ferry piers. 3D promo v-clip on malls' bulletin boards and Cineplex theatres. Those were the good "old" days. Now make me feel "senior".

Thanks for your best wishes!

Beth

UKNOWHO is going to start a new partnership assignment - more promising than the previous ones. It will give me a peace of mind to focus on my new venture. It's a challenging one yet more rewarding (at least that's what we're anticipating). My petite head has been working 24/7 .. wild areas popping out haha ..

My heartfelt thanks again for your best wishes and confidence in me!

Take care and Happy & Successful Trading Always!

Wishing you all the very best with your new venture. Just remember to keep a journal (this could become a best seller one day) and pop in from time to time with updates, so we can see how your are progressing.

Good luck.

I'm surprised that my thread is not closed yet. Guess some of you maybe interested in knowing what I've accomplished for the last few days. Here it comes a crispy recap:

1. Creation of a business website. I did over 10 before. This time I'm thrilled that I finally figured out how to open a Google Adsense account and added some Google Ads to my site. Make 1 penny per click when one clicks on an ad lol. I know I know 1 penny is nothing. Yet a friend told me someone made enough pennies for 2 family vacation per year. I added the ads last night and made $0.69 this morning. Not sure who did the clicks (I did one for testing) since I have not officially launched my business .. haha ..

2. Upgrade my laptop to 4GB RAM! Both UKNOWHO and I are not technical. It's our first time to open a laptop. Tried 2 times putting the new cards .. the laptop cannot boot up. Almost wanted to put the originals back. Then we made it. Now she should be more efficient.

3. Webinar Application Search. I located a free trial "forever" as long as 5-person and 25 minutes/session meet one's needs. We had so much fun last night testing it out .. 5 computers/laptops all there with 3 webcams on. Really cool and it's free!

4. Super Panda? This week so far I've slept for less than 10 hours .. zozo .. maybe this weekend I will regain some lost sleep. Feel like a panda with 2 black eye circles.

There're both unexpected nice and "not so nice" surprises this week. It's all about life .. learn to accept both! Sometimes it happened for a reason. I always look at the bright side to cheer myself up. It did look better after resolving the raised issue. It's challenging and I am doing my best to tackle one by one.

Certainly there're down moments .. I'm just an ordinary person. I really have worked enough (decades). Some friends warned me many times that I should retire years ago considering my former 24/7 lifestyle. Yes Yes Yes I wished .. just it's impossible. Wish me luck!

Take care everyone and have a Relaxing weekend. Mine will be a long one as Monday is a public holiday here.
