Hello Friends,

Well what do we have on CL?

1. Price is between Today´s Open and Yesterday's Open (86.00 - 85.65 respectively) , this is a range of 35 ticks, Consumer sentiment data came almost without change.

This brings us to three scenarios,

a. Price breaks 85.65 and tests 85.24, 85.00 (we want to see sellers in the tape, downside pressure and responsive buying at this zone to be later broken.

b. Price Breaks 86.00 to test 86.26 - 86.40, this should be done by breaking this level and after this test it again to check if there is buying interest and "they" wanting to have higher prices than yesterday.

c. Price goes Range bound respecting this two levels 86.00-85.65 and this could trigger some profit taking.

Here you have the images.

First time responding.... thanks for the informative thread.. a question...

for senario "c" above, I shorted the range at 86.02, target 85.63, stoploss 85.87 on the second fail to rise above 86.40 (about 9:40 est). would you have traded this range?

thanks

toucan

Hello,

Toucan, perfectly done, yes i would have traded that opportunity, i was looking at S&P 500, may just to be sure i would have traded the test of the level, after the failure, but still your spot works perfectly, check this here.

sandptrader and jdneeman..... thanks...

I added crude and natural gas to my trading earlier this year and am still learning. I don't trade ranges very often, but this one had enough range to meet my target. I am more of a break out kinda guy and appreciate your analysis of the top/bottom ranges.

thanks again

toucan

I am also still learning just as JD says in his quote, if you can find technical trades as JD posts and the one you mentioned every day, and manage those trades you will be doing Great.
We will all be doing Great

Hi,

I have read some of your posts and was wondering if you happen to have a summary of some kind that has all of what you have shared on/for indicators and methods.

Thanks
