item # 9 -if you waited was the premium set -but remember -that #9 set is from a smaller move pattern - the 50% line is from the longer term move as this is a counter trend trade untill the 50% line is set upon
12.5 points on the down run
nearly hit the 6 point target on the upswing

this pic is the wall of 4 major resistance lines 2 in blue and 1 green and 1 purple - notice how wide or thick the wall is approx 4 points -the narrower it gets the easier it is 2 break through -as the longs try to find a base in here -

at this time my 94.75 would have been better played at 97.45

your 99 long is above the wall and we need to see the 565 cross above the 1400 -then we could maybe see 18 from the low -time will tell - stop below the low -
when you get to mutiple contracts -always reduce to set your self up for a free trade aagreement -
thus when trading 2
exit 1 when up 2 points in this case -that way if your 99 runs against you -with your exit @ 97 -you have a free trade -and with smaller risk its even better -
be back after lunch at some point-goodluck

sure you can ask - last summer i was working with a guy while his partner was in russia i believe -and at the most volitile point of last summer i called 250 points of profit in either 3.5 days or 4.5 days -i wouldhave to check the log to confirm the time distance -so i have been doing it for a while now -oh -i did call the 666 bottom of the s&p also -oh but you want to know when i figured out how to do this -some of us are born with it and some of us its thrust upon - its been quite a while -i am sure with your system you can comeup with years of trades to confirm your method as i can -tell Mr James Dimon i said hello
p.s. also called the top using US steel as my benchmark way back in what year-
look at a 20 year monthly chart and tell me what you see-
will also be looking for positive post on this thread from you -thanks cory
item #4 -time cory asked a question -glad he is still referencing this post

tf-- i spread this out to show what i see
item #2 -good mid range entry -
notice the market is above all blue trend (s/r ) lines
its also above the 565 ma
it had 3 chances to break the 1400 ma
thus item #2 is the cross of the 30/150 techincal crossover after holding all the other supports -
i will try to clarify these over time as time allows

creekboy,
Could you please explain what is happening at 1, 2, and 4, on your posted chart screenshot ; and how you'll make an Entry decision, based on the setup criteria and your method. Eh, where is 3 ? Also, are those three horizontal lines to be taken as S/Rs, or just the middle one ?
Have you gotten any suggestion on the MAs for 5 Range chart ?

I used the fibs for the ma's as TMFT suggested.
It's quite fascinating.

1- is 5 min trend line base on the 565/1400 ma movement -
2-first break of intermediate 30/150 ma, after the high
4-the zone where the price broke with the 30/150 below the 5 min trendline all at the same time -look at it like the edge of a giant sinkhole
3- was the removal of the 565/1400 ma's for just being able to see the chart more clearly

3--short under s/r double line --stop is the high on the left edge of circle -short zone is the 700 ma which is now 3 walls of s/r
4- reversal zone text book long --stop below the low -
what would the profit be on this setup
shorting 1.2546 and reversing at 1.2371
also what would the risk be per the entry short price 1.2546 with a stop at 1.2574
now granted if you did not ride the entire short to reversal what would the risk be going long at the base?

You seem to be having two MAs combination on the same 5 Minute chart: 27/70 and 270/700, and the 270/700 looks better on your chart, however, 270/700 does not even show up on my chart; 27/70 shows up quite well on my chart and in sync with your 270/700, and your 27/70 seems the same as my 2/7 .. could the platform you're using be causing the difference ... I suppose that you're on TOS .

My Time Zone is same as Berlin which is GMT+1, but which is the same as London at this time of the year. If I know the time hour difference between EST Time Zone and GMT, then I can give the times and day as you've requested. Which City or Town do you have in mind ?

It is 6:11PM in NY right now; and it is 11:11PM here ... 5 hours time difference. So, subtract 5 hours from the times you see on my chart to get your time; and the day was Friday last week.

220/576 doesn't show up at all. See what I have for 98/280 ... I'll test-drive this MA combination for today and see if I can stick to it. Have a look at it in the attached screenshot @ Tokyo opening hours.

es -thoughts for today as of 7:18 est
1-- nice text book setup area -if long form this zone -you would have accepted approx 5.5 points of risk -currently 10 points of profit -2 to 1 r/w is a little tight on a heavy down trend bounce
2--notice where the 30 ma broke the trendline -how the market used it as a top intermediate pivot zone
3-nice set at this writting off the 1400 ma looking for a top in and around the 82.25 zone
1400 - 565 =8.35 + 1273.33 (price level of the ma @ the set)
=12 81.68--target zone

creekboy,
220/576 doesn't show up at all. See what I have for 98/280 ... I'll test-drive this MA combination for today and see if I can stick to it. Have a look at it in the attached
screenshot @ Tokyo opening hours.
Lolu
creekboy,
Now, let me test-drive the Tick chart style, but on a higher frame. So, what MAs would be good for a 700 tick chart instead of your 133 Tick chart ?

=12 81.68--target zone
anyone who shorted 1281.25 is a very happy person at this point - reduced 1/2 @1274.50 -will let the rest ride with stop just above the high 6.75 points captured -2 tick risk 13 to 1 r/w ratio - very good return -looking for a close around 1266 but just hoping it stays below the high in place good luck today--

This is a new request. I just want to venture into higher chart frame (if feasible). I'm still on Euro (6E).

Just responding to your post # 172 ... but I now put your chart in post # 170 side-by-side with mine, and what a perfect sync ... so I can now do higher frame (i. e. 512-tick).
Yeah, I note your comment on # 3 ... the SHORT @ # 3 could have been a trend line break ... but the Potential #4 is not looking good even now.

# 3 -now have put the trendline in for the short side -
this trade has set short in reference to the 135/350 ma 1.2463 area was a good short zone with a stop above the high -which is high risk in my oppinion .
you would have been long form 1.234 area with a stop of 1.228 with a reward of 1.246
the short is high risk at this time -
note the pink s/r line is balanced off the last high as there is no low that works yet after the 135 crossed below the 350 -

Does anyone Trad YM or ES or TF at mkt close? bet 2-3 pm cst ?
how is it diff from mkt open?
I have seen mkt close is slower than mkt open, do you use same chart at the open and close, or slower chart at the close, example 50Ticks at open and 30Ticks at close

i trade the same pattern over and over -i do find that many times the real money account charts and the tos sim money charts are different in there data -but here is the current chart
1 - is new north move trend line --found s/r on the 565 and is balancing on the older trendline from earlier - notice how it seems to play the same channel distance above and below -
if the vloume is slower it just means my charts are slower in setting up

2- new trend line off of new high / also the breakline for closing -if you are fast enough to grab it -

lolu -6E chart in high risk zone -notice the 2 boxes are exactly the same height - when the trend line is minor the trade is high risk - now the top of the box on the left would be a nice short entry with low risk
