Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

There is a very easy way...

I simply can not remember. It has to do with [brackets] and I think the word screencast....same way you would use the [ ] and yt to post a youtube video, just cant remember how.

[SCREENCAS][/SCREENCAS]

(Add "T"'s at the end of each word. I couldn't post it if I didnt remove them. So SCREENCAST in brackets

There is a button for it. It is on the top right when making a post

Yes. Unfortunately I am away from my trading computer, so I do not have screen capture on this laptop.

When typing a post, look at the toolbar above the text box.

Starting on the far left you will see the "Bold" button. Then "Italics", "Underline" etc.... Keep following that row of buttons until you get the the big red button with a white triangle in it. That is the YouTube button. To the left of it is the screencast button.

Hover your mouse over the buttons to see what they do.

You need 'screencast' in between [] before the link, then '/screencast' in between [] after the link, just click 'Edit' this post to see the actual source.

Cheers

So here is the thing...

determining where to start the "work" and if/how to talk about it here is the first item I need to figure out. I do not have access to the old work spaces, but I do have all the materials/components. The danger, or one danger, for me is I revert to a jump in the deep end approach. I need to be measured here and totally intentional. That said, for the time being I am on a "FREE" feed forex data feed from NT. I need to switch that to Futures data as soon as I figure out how. This feed does not update unless I reload historical data.

Just so happens that from a technical analysis screen view with data frozen from this morning it looks like a reasonable buy set up $EURUSD 1.1185 stop new lows 1.1178. I'll post the pic, then update data and post another. Keep in mind these charts are nowhere near dialed in and I have not monitored a daily time frame fundamental view or news feed in almost two years.
