Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Thank you for the original NT7 and for your willingness to look at making this into an NT8 version. This page has the discussion and the indicator - https://futures.io/trading-journals/20222-koyaanisqatsi-hototo-wldman-out-balance-20.html. The original design contains multiple moving average capabilities, and whle others may use all the settings, but I only use the WMA - weighted and either Valcu or Vervort is certainly adequate without redoing the entire indicator if that streamlines the effort?

The experimental version of the HeikinAshi was a pre-version for the final release which can be found in the download section of this forum. Please use the final version here:

@NinjaTrader Your platform support guys don't miss a step. Patrick has been a solution to things that I'd never be able to do myself. Very grateful for the excellent support. DB

Hey Man

Futures Edge on FIO

Are you a NinjaTrader user?

@GFIs1 it has been a long road. I'm funded small about 30,000 so when I get NT back to where it was I'll start trading one lots again. Really shooting for regular day or swing time framing 1Q2017. Good to be back in the BMT community.

Need help with screen capture utility

I used to have a screen capture utility that place a little yellow sunshine on the monitor. I thought it was called Jing...but I am mistaken. Does anyone know WTH I'm talking about?

This is what I used to place pictures into thread posts. If I find the utility perhaps someone will tell me how to use it to post charts in this thread. DB

Okay...

I was able to find the file on the old drive, copy it, install it on the new drive, place it on the screen, and capture a window. But I have no idea how to put the pic into a forum post. Can anyone help with that?

Well that did not work.

Hey @wldman, we can not view the pictures you posted.

When you post something, go to "Manage Attachments" and paste the image link, then embed.

To get the correct image link go to the screencast screenshot and right-click, and click "Copy Image Address" (or something like that)

I hope this helps!
