Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

nerves even with ...

three lot micro. That is kind of funny but good testimony to how I get emotionally after a few weeks away. I like lower lows here. Lower highs are good too. Without either this first trade in almost 4 weeks will be short lived....call me a wuss.

I gaurantee that I will regret it...

but covered 95 bid. I need to walk away and get my head straight. I'm trying to buy a new machine and splitting focus to all kinds of things. Bad practice but better than gun slinging.

hit 90 bid...

one time. Still more bored than excited so risk is tight...again @ 96. Looking for targets realizing that I should have sat on my hands. I'll let it play because I hate to be idle. I need to continue to develop the idea that it is okay to not have a position when the supporting premises are not strong.

Looks like I'm getting lucky but that does not change the facts.

New Computer Search

I know you have been looking for a new computer. In the past Fattails has talked about workstation computers from HP. Here is the current list for HP Workstations.

Hope this helps

Are you trading the Euro this morning Wildman?

I've found myself emotionally involved with 1.2416 to 1.2420 this morning but it seems She's only putt'n out to 1.2409

@wldman, how are things?

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
6)

Great Mike...

Thanks for asking.

Involved in a debate about the how and why of posting live trades in the forum. thinking of daily re-cap instead and reviewing the benefits of such. DB

Here is the deal...

part of it, at least. Real time posting is just too demanding and too big of a distraction. A cumulative post after trading is done for the day takes 30 minutes to prepare, looks ugly, and will be subject to detractors.

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

Wondering if/how to proceed. Input on that appreciated. DB

It is a couple less than 170 ticks gross. BUT I felt like I was against the easy ones and ion love with the hard ones all morning.
