Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Press conference begins now...

open mouths...could be fun as there was about 25% expecting a rate change....looks like a little bid showing up...

I'm out with modest gains off my resting 90 bid..

Sometimes the comments dont go as you thought...

then BANG!

Everyone see wldman cover like the tick before the bid craters.

Win some, miss some. The grudge is back!

so +15,+10,+10

57 net for day with quit a bit left on the table.

I could get angry...

or I could get breakfast, knowing that my friends and neighbors have not left home for work yet...I'll leave the grin on my face and make the family breakfast! but, DANG IT!

34 ticks better than my cover SUCKS no matter what is for breakfast.

and we seem offered right away.

So at the blue bands I will have to decide.

nothing done , nothing working and that seems a little unfortunate right now as that 2470 level is looking like a nice long.

Not a game of perfect...

Futures Edge on FIO
by any means but I am leaving way too much on the table. The long side entry was well indicated but I was indifferent to the point of not even laying out a stop in. Better execution than yesterday but quite the idiot again today.

Suspect that this...

will be a zero line reject. It is difficult though when the display is not so obvious. To take the trade long, I like a steeper acci approach. I'd feel more comfortable if we traded below that 200 period. So right now no trade.

Well then...

wldman says he likes the short side, but is not thrilled with the intensity (his view) of the risk/reward, so he plays in the arcade. I propose that we set up a special room to play arcade games for ticks.

Feelin like a dumb @$$

Nothing done, nothing working, because I am destined. Dang it, I hate being the fool!

subtle difference between...

mystery and mastery, I guess.

The same situation presents itself again. I expect a little better chance for follow through on the long side if that triggers. I can go either way here but will probably avoid this trade as well because we have a line to stand in at the library this morning. Look out for comments....and what looks like a trend channel setting up short.
