Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Happy to not have the correct prevailing view...

when the consequence does not include a debit...lol

So higher highs and higher lows did break resistance just prior to US equity open. I am not sure I would have reversed but I'm glad to not be too involved here.

Looking around the crowd...

this morning I am unable to discover the fool. Extreme caution for me. There where some comments last night 1 am CST that indicated a ratings agency opinion of a 1:3 chance that Greece exits EU after the June elections. Also, rumors of Eastern European sellers. I don't know that those items drive a 100 tick move. Pair implied vola has exploded. This extended creep up from the 1.2235 area seemed optimistic beyond data I understood, but who knows. No idiot things and almost hair trigger risk are the course for me today....boring.

Profit locking stop is in...

In a situation like this , where I basically have no idea, the profit lock gets applied right away. The turn in acci indicated by that arrow is almost enough for me to close the position...especially as we are at lows without follow through, indication possible support.

Very conservative stops triggered at 20...

I am out. Flat nothing working. +15 ticks x 1 and + 10 ticks x 2 = 35 ticks.

Entry premise continues to decay so for a few seconds I'm feeling smart.

sold one...

1.2415. Just one for two reasons...I am not convinced of the risk/reward here and I want the ability to add without leaving the reservation.
