My two money makers 'GFIs1 one Trade per Day' and the 'GFIs1 Waltz' are well known to long-time users of NexusFi and predecessors.
1) GFIs1 one Trade per Day is a pattern trading approach which is based on the day of the week, time of day & predictable news.
2) Waltz with its own thread is a specialist for high volumes on the DAX (see link below).
Until today, I have trimmed both systems solely to the cash hours of the DAX - i.e. 9:00 to 17:30.
Now, several new approaches have emerged that allow the results to be increased considerably. These include
A) Extending the trading time. The Stock3 platform, which I have been using for some time now, offers a daily start at 7.30 am and a close at 10 pm. This is a successful way of trading with:
B) Increased volume - controlled by US and Asian movements, which open up completely new possibilities, especially in the waltz above.
It is important to me to start a trade shortly after the morning preparation of the day, from 2024 onward, even from 7.30 a.m. and to let it run at the maximum until 10 p.m. (overnight is only permitted in exceptional cases).
After realizing that many strong movements take place before and after the official cash hour, the GFIs1 waltz should also occur with greater regularity and thus also trigger the important trading pattern, because the starting shot must reach 50 points in a candle of 30m in order to trigger the 1st waltz trade after the next 30 minutes.
The exact rules (Rules for Dummies) can be found here:
Waltz - Rules
Rule for Dummies
which works exclusively during these extreme volatile days when market slips. ***
I named it: "The Wiener Walzer" which means 1 - 2 - 3 - 4
If you can count up to four - this thread is for you!
Like in the parent thread - the trades are always intraday. More important: Only 30 minute candle chart.
A daily trade depends on this special easy pattern.
Two trades to take. Time to stay in the market: 2 hours. (plus one hour to find the right pattern)
Exactly. Nothing more!
Let's waltz!
**Watch: 1 - 2
**Enter: 3 - 4 - Close
**Reverse direction enter: 1 - 2 - Close
Finished!
Now to the rules:
Important: Previous day(s) need to have a Hi/Lo day range of more than 150 points in the DAX. Otherwise NO TRADE!
1) Look at 30 minute candles.
2) Enter SHORT after 2 consecutive RED candles.
3) Close the trade exactly after 60 minutes
4) Enter immediately a new trade LONG
5) Close trade after exactly 60 minutes

As the rules in mentioned GFIs1 thread are not allowing a trade on all days - especially in high volatility phases -
I was searching …
With the above in mind, I tested a waltz review for 2023 and was able to identify some very profitable trades with the time adjustment (see above).
As I haven't used the waltz publicly or documented and updated the thread since end of 2018, it now has a special place in my trading. The only thing missing is the automatic triggering of the two Waltz trades Up/Down or Down/Up. I already had checked this. It came out very positive. Clarification is now underway with the provider Stock3.
Conclusion:
The optimization of both systems via extended trading time guarantees many additional trading opportunities for the same day.
Whether this basis will continue to be used for publication in the respective threads with pre-announcement of the trade(s) remains to be seen.
The reason for this is my reduction of possible presence and publication of trades LIVE due to announced absorption of my time by my CO2 projects - mainly abroad and mostly also in other time zones.
It all depends on the degree of automation as to how these two threads can be served here as live as possible. This is also the subject of some clarification with the platform(s).
