Dax with a upgap for starting the week: 50% Fib @ 9123 - looks good to see it today.

Dax short 09:30 to 14:00

entry @ 9050
exit @ 8885
result +165 points

IB vol ok

GFIs1

PS: FIB 50% did not come.. sign for more shorts this week

I thought that you only entered the trade AFTER econ releases to avoid unexpected loses risk, as todays IFO was released at 10.00??

Thanks

Thanks @CPRICE76
you are right - that rule on IFO is normally applied.
Today we had a situtation of
1) starting week
PLUS
2) Upgap on the week too

If you are in after IFO numbers (10:30) - then stay in today until 16:00
Gives around the same result...

Good trades!

Hello I follow your thread and your discipline since this summer (only reading) but I haven't ever made any trade as your indications.
This morning I was prepared to follow you with 2 contracts DAX futures prepared since sunday....
but when I saw your message only 3 minutes later (9.33 CET) I saw the FDAX trading at 9030 (already 20 pips away from the entry level at 9.30 exact) so I decided to not follow your trade and now I'm having a huge loss for a bad trade on EUROSTOXX future.

So instead to have a profit of 7k euro (more or less) I have a loss of .....

When I'll repair this damage I will back to follow your strict rules and discipline.

Bravo GFIs1

Thanks for compliments..
not all trades are really good to be easily shifted to another instrument.
In fact the steep downmove already from 9:00 was a good sign in the Dax to see some
trend - especially with the upgap we had seen with that week start.
Even entering with 20 points left on the table the result was positive.
Never look back on any trade - tomorrow the market will be here too.

Good trades

exactly as you described it above (entry 10:30):

Hi GFIs1, I think that tomorrow there will be no trade because the DAX exceeded the normal range. Correct?
I noticed that your system performing very well when the price is out of the DAILY KUMO CLOUD. I mean that most of the points gained are concentrated in some days; you have some stats about this?

Thanks in advance for your reply

Thanks in advance for your reply

1) Range today was 233 points - which exceeded much the limit. So normally no trade. But I will try to do one
with a limited stop - as today the price made a Doji, meaning start and end was nearly on the same level.
As tomorrow is the last of month it might give a good trend. Hopefully we can enter 09:30...
2) Daily price in Kumo means turbulences like a plane crossing clouds. In the cloud the direction is difficult to
foresee. So when price is out of Kumo it is normally easier to predict and press more points out of that situation.
Kumo always shows the center over a longer trend - price is normally carving around this cloud.
The moments outsided of the cloud show stronger moves and can be used for some good gains (or losses when
used wrongly).

No stats so far - but some good experience. I have normally written about the inside Kumo situation in this
thread. So some special information can be gathered here.
