Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

ouch - if Bank of America results can push the Dax(30) higher 66 points in 30 minutes...

who are the big boys then?
maybe I need a new newsfeed? LOL

Thanks for all your inputs - highly appreciated

GFIs1 - looking forward to friday

Hello GFIs1,

You should try a short in the morning every day except one in the next 5 sessions

Thanks @AnasParis

I am not so sure about the next 5 days - short or not...
Concerning the Dax: resistance had not been crossed today - so we need to be careful
about the next movements.
Looking at some ridiculous moves in the Dax with near zero volume this is meant to
considering in these next days.
Every trader should be careful to protect capital these days - where unreal prices are
proposed to novices to jump in right now

Have all a great evening
GFIs1

PS: as I told in other posts - we are again at a crucial point here - price may head
down with force or running up - only time will tell

Just my 2 cents : there were some options expiry today at 13.00 on the DAX...
And usually, you can expect weird things...

thanks Ralph...
normally the option's expiry is not hefty as long as some normal volume on the future is seen.
These days nothing is "normal".
Quitting this week with a blank ZERO

But anyway - more liquid times will come again.
Being happy with the results of the last 6+ months too

Have a great warm weekend

After nearly 18 months or a year and a half consequently posting my Dax trades here in this thread,
commenting with charts and results, answering many questions of members without any pause
for holidays I am coming to the conclusion that my main goals I had for this thread are fulfilled now:

1) to be focused on my trading plan and execute trades regularly sticking to the rules and optimize them
2) to show in difficult times as well when water is shallower that trading can bring regular decent results
3) to take out a pressure in trading and taking losses as winners without emotions
4) to pull the trigger and accept the outcome as is
5) to invite fellow traders to find a personal niche in these wide markets
6) to find out that trading is a real and a tough business which does not suit to everyone
7) to show that everyone who is serious may find an edge in trading

It was a pleasure to test many ideas and to exchange even more ideas with interested members
along my path - a big THANKS to all that contributed and the others who read one ore more posts.

Questions? Of course I will continue to trade further.
I may continue to update from time the weekly result in this thread if that is of interest.
And for sure I will try to find new fields including other instruments or exploring more my HiLo adventures.

GFIs1

PS: I would love to read more members of futures.io (formerly BMT) who are willing to announce their trade before taking it - with
SL and target... ...plus the eventual result
Be sure to see a lot of readers! This could make this forum even more interesting to follow in real time.
