Good morning @GFIs1,

It seems you are still in the trade.
Do you have a plan with your short position?

Thanks and good luck,
Deetee

@GFIs1

How are you? Hope every thing is fine and you enjoy the advent season.

By the way: You do not trade for the rest of the year or is there some thing in planing?

Symple

End of this year's trading by tomorrow

Thanks for following..
Had been off from trading.
The plan to close the 2022 trades with result is planned for tomorrow Friday:
• was waiting for the last interest changes in US, CH, EU
• the last trade is still open while writing
• 4th quarter was not so predictable as those before
• had some interesting opportunities near the trading - especially gold which is on high demand right now

Read the results this weekend
Good trades

Credit Suisse follow up

Thanks @Symple for the input.
CS has dipped to a low never seen in the long history.

I will elaborate a bit more in this theme soon.
Most important to know is that CS has 51 daughter companies around the world - even in Cayman Islands... Not counted the zillion sub and sub/sub daughters.
The big question is at hand: what will happen when CS is illiquid?

Soon to read

Last quarter update

Starting within week 38 (on Sep 23) result: 6758 points.
This was the top result in 2022.

Then came the start of the red trades:
26/9 - 36 points
27/9 - 85 points
28/9 - 607 points totals in -728 points
End of 3rd quarter: 6758 - 728 = 6030 points

One trade in last quarter from October to December 16:
short entry 12675
closed @ 13952
result -1277 points (what a shame!)

Year end result:
6030 - 1277 points = 4753 points.
In € (costs not included): 188'825

DAX Performance 2022

This year the DAX (Index) from January 1 to End of year performed very poorly:
start @ 15947
end @ 13946

result - 2001 points
means a performance of MINUS 12.54%

GFIs1 is very happy with a gain of + 4753 points.
Looks like daytrading was much better (forget my swing trades here ) than putting money into the index over the whole year.

The difference is obvious: 6754 points. Ok - some work effort not included.

Outlook on 2023

Happy New Year all!

Some projection on the next trading year:
1) Incertain markets - even with more question marks than this year: war, instable supply chains, recession (YES or NO? - what did GFIs1 tell during the last 6 months?)
2) Restrictions from banks to filter just 'good clients'.
3) Money and goods are taking new paths around the globes
4) negative markets (2022) moved some traders out of business
5) rising interests and no return in sight - means less investment into companies but more holding money on the bank as the interest is at least (hey? sic!) guaranteed.
6) Private banks in Germany are restricting guarantees for money held. Will go down to 1M per account soon. Means money will flow out of the country...
7) After a bad year 2022 in the trading - many people are looking for other ways to secure the investments. See DAX performance this year - in my previous post.

Good trades for all that keep trading alive!

Happy New Year! - What is the DAX doing today?

Battle @ 14k line:
DAX IB started lower and made a IB run up ~100 points in 30m.
Now while writing 9:40h it is still going up.
A Fibo Resistance sits @ 14040 - which had been reached this moment.

Good trades!
