Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Dax correction stronger than expected

The Dax is in a very strong correction phase right now.
Today we had 9089.5 in the Future as a intermediate low.
Looks like the needed low for reversal is not yet reached:
8950 has to be hit (watching the 4h chart) to see
the next (little) reversal.
The scenario described in previous post is no longer valid:
New Alltime Highs within this month are no longer possible.

Good trades!

Do you disregard NFP completely and just trade this day as usual?

Trade to live. Not live to trade.

My trade is always after Initial Balance (30 minutes) and exit BEFORE US numbers.
This prevents from surprises.
Of course price (after US numbers) might bring gains in new hights - BUT: not always
So being on the secure side means sometimes less plus points but for sure:
LESS minus points during hectic markets too.

Happy weekend

Right, but the volatility usually contracts before NFP is out and often run stops closely before the news.

Trade to live. Not live to trade.
