today was easy... everything was clear...
the TF did what he/it usually does... so no surprises...
the TF retraced to the 23, slowed down, moved further and then went back for a deep...
i got on a long when the TF was on its way to the deep...
i made 1.6 points... thats good enough for a good start in the week....
--
i wish you all the best!
--
good luck and have good week!
Well, I would disagree that this is what the TF 'usually does' because if it does, boy do I have years of losing ahead of me...
What a rangy day with some strange volume where my stops were being slipped by quite a bit... Kind of interesting as there is lot of 'volume', but I guess the order book is thin to get a lot of movement.
Days like today I would like to forget. It seems like every day I choose to head for a long target is the ABSOLUTE WRONG Day to do it....
Funny how I have that backwards... I take little profits on big days and big profits (losses) on little days...
thanks...
well maybe i should be a little more picky with my phrases...
but the TF does it enourmusly often... just look at historicals... you know the game

the strange thing about longs - to me - is that i need to convience myself much more to enter a position than i need to do with taking shorts... i guess 65% of my trades are shorts...
--
i am still fighting with my shyness... usually i would like to explain a little more about my ideas but then i start stummling in broken english and that is a dislike. i love speaking english but i prefer to be drunk when doing it haha...

thanks for watching my video blue!

have a good day!

now i switch over to yours...
Please don't punish yourself with my video... haha...
It was terrible.
I got chopped up to bits and beyond. Had one of those, (bad luck) days as well as poor trade management (moving stops).
I had some good entries and all the places I chose to do business were heavy CHOP areas. Kind of funny actually in that I couldn't have been MORE wrong. Now, if this could be a TERRIBLE day and my good days could even these out!
I am curious, what are you saying the market does repetitively?
To me, the 23 is typically not a place to do business in the short or mid term charts. I guess that is why I am wondering what you are seeing that I am not? I have two 23's dependent upon where you take it. It either hit the 23, ranged, then went towards the 38 but never reached it, OR, it hit the 23 and went north to new high's.
I figured it was long today, but finding that right area was tough. And, considering the news, man that probably knocked a lot of 'longs' off their rocker.
I realize you do not speak English as a 1st language, and I wasn't picking on your 'words' but what you meant by the good area.... I guess you were saying the 23 from the deeper pullback and then going to a 76 which was a safe trade right?
ok here is a chart...
the reason why you - probably - have not seen the 38 is because you measured it differently...
i always try different ways of measuring until i find a picture that makes sense to me...
in this case the best picture for me was to start measuring from the bottom of the opening bar...
here you got a nice overlap of the 23, then a little retrace from the 23 and then a continuation to the 38 which it hits perfectly and then retraces to the upside and continues the bullmove.

i agree usually 23 and 38 are not good points to take action from but in strong trending it is a good oportunity to get on the trend from the bigger timeframes. as you have seen i have not taken the trade right from the 38, instead i waited to break and close above the midband. of course with confirmation of the macd.
--
but - speaking generally - you quiet often see this situation with the fibs but sometimes it isnt that obvious so you gotta try different measurements...
--
but anyway... i am no expert.... danielle, horst and henry etc. did it in a similar way...
--
