My apologies Bob, and everyone else. You guessed right I am new and very grateful to people here who have replied to my queries. My story is that I am trying to get away from UK spread `betting and ~CFD trading to, what I am told , is a more regulated and fairer? playing field. Tried enquiring of a low cost broker but communication etc was very hit and miss plus funding arrangements were more involved than simple card payment to broker. I discovered TradeStation allows the likes of 'World First UK Ltd" to transfer fees to USA account
( improved exchange rate and much lower bank fees) and if the TS data fees are free? as per this page on TS.
https://www.tradestation.com:443/pricing/market-data-pricing/
Then I will try them out.
I do like their communication or quick reply to queries. I posted this same question to them last night-UK time- so will hear later no doubt.
My reason for posting here is to get feed back from experienced Futures traders in the US, which I am grateful for. So, many thanks.
Thanks to everyone for their forbearance and tolerance.

To BOB -For future reference -how would I start a new thread please?
Thanks again.

No problem. Everyone starts somewhere.

By the way, your post above is much more detailed than your initial questions, and much more likely to get a response. We sometimes get questions like "Tell me everything I need to know," which are sort of hard to answer. More explanation of what you are interested in can be helpful. Your last post added context and fleshed it out more.

It is simple to start a new thread. First, make sure you use the Search box at the top right corner of every page to see if there is already a thread for your topic (very important in order to prevent duplicates.) If there is not, begin by going to the home page of the forum and scrolling down to the list of topics (also called "forums" or "subforums.") Pick one that you want to look at and click on it. You will go to a list containing any subtopics it may have, and any existing threads. As you drill down, when you get to a subforum that you want to add a thread to, you will see a button labeled "New Thread." Click that and you will go to a page to set up your thread and make your first post in it.

There is a tutorial with more detail. Click on this link to go to it:

Happy questioning.

Yes that is correct.

Yes, you read that correctly. So if you have a futures account with Tradestation you will have access to free live data for the US equity index futures. Best of luck!

Just got this from sales at Trade Station:
Thanks for following up. Once you fund your futures account, you will receive access to the platform and real-time data for the CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX free. This should provide you with access to the micro futures contracts.

There is a potential of a $50 annual fee with us that can be waived as long as you place 5 trades in a year OR maintain at least 2k or more in your account in a year on average.

That looks good to my mind.
Thanks for all your help Prophet85 and everyone.
