people, regards, i have a number of questions about tradestation and easylanguage. ts users must surely know that ts's client support is horrendous, i have already posted questions to their users fora on several occasions but in most cases their "support staff" couldn't care less and never even bother to reply. i'm hoping other users here could help me out.

i have a number of different questions, so i will post them as a list:

- ¿is there any way to create anything like a shortcut to change the last date on a chart? i always optimize strategies leaving around two years of data out of sample, so once the optimization process is finished it takes me several clicks to change the last date on a chart from, let's say, 31-12-2016 to today's date and once i'm done evaluating the results back to 2016 again. if it was possible to create a combination of keys or any other shortcut in ts to change between fixed dates and today's date that would be really cool.

- ¿is it possible to create a workaround the maxbarsback limitation? i understand how maxbarsback works, but i would prefer it if it were possible to have strategies and indicators use as much data as is available (currentbars or something similar, once there are more than 2 bars on the chart) and then once currentbars is greater than the period length i have chosen use that period length.

- ¿are there any resources and sample code for strategies that use 2 data streams? i have some ideas for strategies that would trade on minute bars (data 1, i understand) and would also incorporate signals from the same symbol on daily bars (data 2). i have already performed some searches on the ts fora and the ts help section but couldn't find helpful material.

very well, i will appreciate any information anyone could have, thanks, regards.

maggtrading,

you could only walk around the max bars back "limitation", which is not really an issue but a necessity in order for computations to be correct, by rewriting your code so that it's not affected by the max bars back. There is no simple solution here as you might have to require all functions you are using to avoid that they look back X amounts of bars.

The official forum and wiki are a great resource in my opinion, but it sometimes requires a bit of digging to find what you are looking for.
This should get you going regarding multiple data streams:

maggtrading,

regarding your first question you might be able to accomplish this using the command line and maybe with the help of additional macro tools:
