TS server for execution

Here are the comments I received from one of my client about something called “silent disconnection”. I'm not using TS myself, I only have a demo account so I can't do relevant tests.

Quoting
Tradestation uses 3 servers; one is for the customer account either live or simulated, one is for data and one is for trading.

The TS platform only shows the account and data connections on its display. What happens is that the trading server can be disconnected while the account and data servers are working fine. TS calls it a “silent disconnection”. Consequently a customer can be disconnected from the trading server and not know it because the data stream is not interrupted and there is no indicator on the platform display. The only indication that there is a problem is when an order fails to transmit and an order error message pops up. However, a pop-up error message does not always appear.

Does anyone here is aware of this kind of issues? If I could get in which file is logged these silent disconnection I could at least wrote a small app which will warn the trader.
All information are welcome!

I've experienced this before, but there is a "Trading " word in the lower right hand corner that turns from green to red. So there is notification. I usually resolve the issue by restarting the computer, not just tradestation.

Unfortunately this "Trading" which can be blue, green or red shows the connection to the account server, not the trading server where it seems there is no way get the status of the trading server through the TS GUI.
