Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

you can modify this day balance indicator. Note: open a new 60m chart, apply it to see how it works first.

cory,

this might not work for zetradr if he/she is looking for Tradestation code.

Regards,

zetradr,

there are a couple of indicators in the download section that can do that, but you'd need an elite membership to download. This for example might get you going.

Global Variable

The best way I've found to do it is using Global Variables. That way you can have a 24 hour chart that computed the Overnight High and Low and pass that information to a RTH chart (@ES.D for example).

I'm not so good a programmer that I would feel comfortable sharing the EasyLanguage, but I was able to put the whole thing together just researching Global Variables on the web & the Tradestation forums.

Laconic,

Global Variables is great, except the lacking historical data. You might want to take a look at Easylanguage Collections or Global Dictionaries (in case you work in Tradestation), this way you can get realtime and historical values.
