The issue I had/have with Trade Manager is that it did not always record trades properly. For example, at some point in the live history, Trade Manager mistakenly thought a sell to close was actually a sell short. Once that happened, all stats became meaningless.

I compare the actual trades results with the Tradestation Strategy Performance Report (which is based on the strategy engine calculations, not the real trades).

Exactly, you are right about the TM and TMA that is exactly what is happening to me...

I am not very familiar with the way you track record you results, I may PM you for clarification because I am a discreationary trader and I see you are a algo trader and the way you track record your results may not work in my case.

All I want is to keep track of my work in a simple manner but it looks like TS wont allow me to do that.

TS Response

Here is the response I received from TS and it resolved my problem.

Please close TradeStation and reboot your computer. Navigate the file path corresponding to your system-type:

32-bit: C:\Program Files\TradeStation 9.1\Program

64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\TradeStation 9.1\Program

Delete the folder named TCache and reopen TradeStation.

This is a good thing to do every few days...seems to resolve any corruption. I get this done evert 3/4 days...especially when pulling a lot of tick data.
