Lower Daily ATR == Harder to Trade?

Hey All,

I've been struggling a bit over the past few weeks with my ZN trades. Of course, its easier to blame "the market" then to blame my self! .

I have noticed a general decline in volatility on the ZN. See the attached Daily chart.

Typically, my stops are a function of ATR and then the number of contracts I trade are a function of capital.

By rights I should be tightening my stops...

What's the community's experience with declining vol and/or should I be looking in the mirror instead of the chart (FWIW I made 2 or 3 silly mistakes recently but I learned from them)
