Hi, @supermht;

Nice charts. Would be nice if Effort/Result could be plotted as an indicator.

Cheers!

@trendisyourfriend,

Thank you. Would you elaborate on what indicator and how it relates to the concept of Effort/Result.

Certainly, result or follow through is more likely to become actual fact if volume enters into the equation. Oftentimes a shift of the POC will precede and attract further participation. Similar to the snowball synergy effect, several key elements must line up and a shift of the POC is certainly a good indication that the tugging war is being won by one side specially if prices use it as a stepping-stone as was the case in my example.

Ya, but I dunno that you want to make a decision just because the VPOC shifted. All that means is a new auction is taking place and eventually one side will move the auction into new value or back down to previous. There are still other confirmations needed before that short should be taken (i.e. trend line break, increased supply, etc)

Hey! Thats a great work you are making! Thats very good for keeping this thread rollling. If you don't wonder I want to ask you to display daily (bar) volume? so I can get clearer picture who were stronger at the top or at the bottom of a swing. Thank you!

Of course, the more evidences you can gather the better it is. That's basically what i wrote "...several key elements must line up and a shift of the POC is certainly a good indication that the tugging war is being won by one side specially if prices use it as a stepping-stone".

I use it along with value area, supply/demand zones. The VPOC is a great line in the sand.

IMO combining various Wyckoffian principles with that of Market Auction Theory (using Volume Profile) is a lethal trading weapon. Things started making a lot more sense when I started using both together.
