There is a substantial risk of loss in trading commodity futures and options. Past performance is not indicative of future results. The opinions expressed here are those of Gary Fullett, and are not to be taken as a recommendation to buy or sell commodity futures or options. This is for educational purposes only.

Three possibilities come to mind...

Could be an upthrust- but in an uptrend these fail right.
Could be absorption for a move higher- trap in shorts and then markup price.
Could be distribution.

Closes will help solve this one.

What do we Know:
We have ease of movement to the upside
we are in a small uptrend - retrace
we have not seen the two things that change uptrend- lack of demand or a buying climax
We still have volume to the upside

I favour up... but we will see soon

my 2 cents

Great observation. It shows a great understanding of reading the tape versus having a bias.

supermht,

if this is an upthrust, it will usually be complete within 1-3 bars many times, imo. Gary in post #465, speaks of this referring to a spring in his second chart posted. I assume the concept is reversed for upthrusts.

Absolutely Warren. Great observation.

I found it is great to spot potential entry area using Wyckoff, then use smaller time frame entry system to enter the trade.

I am wondering how you guys enter the trade, only use 60 minutes chart?

thanks

I use the 60 min chart for intraday trading as a guide. I then, many times, will break it down to a smaller time frame to get the entry I desire. So I'm looking for ending action on a smaller time frame that corresponds to the larger time frame support or resistance.

Hey Gary .... if possible could you chart an 8 month daily chart of PWAV. I'm curious as to where you label the creek on a stock that finds a secondary low after a selling climax.
