Super.

I'm not sure that is supply you point out on your chart. Notice how the down wave volume went from 400+k to 100+k? Also, notice price itself in the way that it was moving. More horizontal to down than down. I think it too could be effort vs. result.

For those who know zip about Wyckoff:

Richard Wyckoff was a pioneer of technical analysis. While Dow contributed the theory that price moves in a series of trends and reactions, and Schabacker classified those movements into chart patterns, developed gap theory, and stressed the role of trader behavior in the development of patterns and support/resistance, Wyckoff contributed the study of the relationship between volume and price movement to detect imbalances between supply and demand, which in turn provided clues to direction and potential turning points. By also studying the dynamics of consolidations or horizontal movements, he was able to offer a complete market cycle of accumulation, mark-up, distribution, and mark-down*, which was in large part the result of shifts in ownership between retail traders and professional money....

I just could not give credit to the fact that you show up with an apprentice level here, I know that it is based in number of posts, but this big mike fellas should open a forum here for you as well, given the traffic of this site, that would be just socially responsible behaviour. If anyone wants to really learn Wyckoff, this is the man to read and pay attention to.

Great finding you here.

Niko

Unfortunately, itís the SMI translation, unless itís changed dramatically. The ďrealĒ Wyckoff method is that which was written by Wyckoff. If itís changed, then it becomes something else, like adding a moustache to the Mona Lisa.

I don't mean to be rude but what exactly is this "REAL WYCKOFF METHOD" which is mentioned and how is it any different from the one offered by the SMI group ? And how did you find out ?

Cheers

If you can visualize, it will materialize

The one written by Wyckoff himself in the first half of the 20th century.

There are some other texts written by Wyckoff himself.

If you dig around on traderslaboratoy you should be able to find some more. Perhaps DBPhoenix will post a response as he is kind of the keeper of the grail.

The whole Wyckoff course is available for free, what does the SMI offer as value added to justify the 1200 usd?
