Hi all,

They have started a trading room for Al Brooks. There is a free day on Monday if you complete a survey.

I had a chance to listen and watch this past Friday. Like many I have been struggling my way through his book. Listening and watching on Friday I had a few "ahh-ah, thats what you mean" moments.

If the format follows Friday's demo here is what you can expect.
Al talks maybe about 40%-50%, the rest of the time is silence. He explains some of the set ups and why he might take them. He also explains some setup and why he would not take them. He does NOT call live trades.
With the exception of one Admin, he does not have a Q&A durning the day. Also, there was no "small talk" during the slow times.

From my take, this is a learning room.

For those of you who are reading Al's book and trying to understand his trading methodology this might help you with the learning curve.

For those of you who want to shadow trade, I personally don't think you would be happy with this room, but that's just my opinion.

Here is the link with more info. I think you have to be a member of the site to view it.

Please note: There is no gain, finical or others wise, for me if you choose to join or not. I am only sharing because I think it might have value to some.

In classic Brooks fashion, a fair amount of his charts are hard to follow because he says "I'd short here" or "this higher high here" when you can't see which bar he is referring to, there's no visual pointer or anything so on about half of his charts I get lost.

Yes I watched it live and it was hard to follow. On the other hand, it kept me on my toes trying to figure out what he was referring to, so it may have actually made the presentation more valuable to me. I tend to drift off... He did say towards the end that he didn't realize that his pointer wasn't being recorded and apologized to the crowd.

It was a good presentation but certainly similar to Al's book in that it's not all that clear. The presentation focuses early morning trades (e.g. gap plays, follow thru of prior day patterns, etc). Also like all Brooks material it takes many many hours of practice for it to sink in so you can see these setups in real time.
