Anybody think a Pivot Zones(as defined by MF) or an ACD levels indicator that accepts a user input for Time and A/C levels would be useful? Might look into building one.

I've always looked at the OR, just for a point of reference.

I read MF's book this past weekend, so I am just observing ACDs, and how the market might react with them to see if it provides a context that may be helpful.

Today, I'm wondering if this could be considered a Failed A-Down..... Price moved down a tic in front, then was rejected rather quickly.

Blue lines are A levels btw.

Wonder if there is such a thing as a 'Late Day A-Down,' similar to a late day C-Up.

there can only be an A for the day... if that already happen, then there is a C... there can be a late A if there was never one before... it would carry more significance if there was penetrating a pivot range... today the PVR was above the open, so the day was bearish... furthermore... the A down was confirmed at around 3:42PM EST.. which should answer your other question as well...

if you are going to code something that will adhere to the original ACD method, I would not mind collaborating... if you are going to bastardize it ala FT.. not interested.... let me know which way you are thinking...

Oh yeah, I know..... That's why I called it a late day A-Down, since the A-Down earlier, was never an A-Down.

@sysot1t: I never got any qualified feedback from you, could you elaborate on the bastardization?

Yes, I do plan on coding something shortly. As I mentioned, I always have monitored the OR. Usually the first 30 min for ES for example as opposed to MF's 20 minutes.

I just recently read MF, since I heard it was mainly about the opening range.

So that leads us to WHAT to code. Right now, I see it as needing simply to plot the OR, along with the Pivot Range.

Later on, it would be adding in some interactivity, i.e. plotting HOW LONG price trades at or beyond A/C values and displaying this info on charts visually/audibly.

If you have some ideas, post them.

anything not pure... your changes work for you... i prefer an indicator that uses the original method.. nothing more... of course, if your method has made millions and you started your own FCM, then let me know... I would be interested on studying it and seeing how I can apply it... otherwise... it is just not the ACD method...
