This has happened twice. My chart stops moving. After I buy and it gets stopped out the chart stays where I was stopped out and does not move with the price any more. If I close the chart and reopen it is still stuck where the last close was made.
When I restate NT the sane ES chart comes back to the same place the last position was sold. I can no longer trade ES until this is fixed.
Format Data Series: are you using the start date/last date options? Is the last date today?
I've seen a bazillion bugs and quirks, but have never seen this one to my knowledge.
What about this: when this happens, if you press F5 to reload the chart? If still no go, what if you go to Tools -> Historical Data -> Reload, select the ES contract (ie ES 09-09), and tell it to reload tick and minute data for the last 1 to 3 days or so.
Also, are there any error messages in the control center log? Are you running any third party indicator add-ons?

Need help? 1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first. 2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses. 3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make. 4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance. 5) Where to start as a trader?
