HI heard that NT 8.1 is not compatible with old market data, but regardless of that, I'd try delete data the History files using your windows file explorer:
> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 8--> DB--> You will find different data folders (replay, day, minute), and within them folders with the contracts you been trading.
Delete the folders with the contract names. And when you finish try re-downloading the data.
you can also try fixing and repairing the database from within NT Tools--> Database Management--> Reset and Repair Database
