If you use tick replay with NT8's backtesting, it can be very close with live data. I can't use it because most of my bots look up other charts. Tick replay backtesting requires high CPU performance though.

Will try. thanks

Great ideas. Thanks. 2 points slippage is good. I should add that. I am exiting in some scenarios before tops and bottom so it will be fun to see if it adds or deducts. I don't use back test in NT. its not accurate like you said. 3 months is a limit and not enough like you said. Good idea on comparing today's real market data with market reply. Awesome on the 2 contract idea.

I'm assuming that your screenshots were from strategy analyzer in NT8, where you need to do the "backtest" for those stats. That's what I meant with backtest in Ninjatrader.

Yes they from NT8. However these are from market replay performance not backtest.

In case you're doing the backtest with years of data, it should be relatively easy to scan through the chart tab on the Strategy Analyzer, to verify the test data's validity with each candlestick.

What is the highest win rate you have gotten with autmated strategies? ES mini on day trading? Which time frames?

I know this doesn't answer the exact question you asked, but interesting statistic on winning percentage none the less ....

Topstep Trader funded Traders had a winning trade percentage of 62% in 2021....

I still receive the Topstep emails and these stats for 2021 appeared in my Inbox today:

Impressive Best Winning Day profit, and that Funded Topstep traders are doing nearly 1% of NQ daily volume.
Do other trading firms release these kind of details, if so I never see them mentioned on this forum?
