Do I use it? Yes been using it almost exclusively for about 15 years.
Would I recommend it? Depends what you need it for. It's a lot of product and it's expensive, so I doubt the average more retail orientated trader would need it, or be able to justify the cost of it. If your a professional though, and moving a lot of volume, and execution is a priority then yes very easy to recommend.
For me personally
I use their "Algo Design Lab" ("ADL") which as far as I know has no comparison in the futures space.
I trade on ICE's less known exchanges which most competitors do not offer/connect to.
I'm a very heavy autospreader user.
While their are some competing autospreader products, I believe the only competitor that also connects to the ICE exchanges that I need is CQG and they are even more expensive than TT!
So for me at least, the only other option would be CQG, which has less functionality and costs more. If I were to eliminate ICE, that would change, but ICE is about 25-30% of my business so that's still important.
Maybe Stellar? I never saw the platform, but there was a prop firm in my country (the first and last one as well) and they only used this platform. The cost is unfortunately similar to TT.
External communication is a huge priority at TT, Sean. I know that for a fact as I'm involved in that upgrade. Let me know if you have any questions in particular.
old thread..
I was looking for a trading tecnologies forum...and this forum came back in my search. I just started chatting here a month ago.
I am in the web based futures plus.
my account is down, and their status web site says nothing is wrong.
first time since enrolling, several months now..but what terrible timing it is.
tech support took 20 minutes to tell me their servers are experiencing some problems.
with current news events, I had my account open and had plans today and tomorrow..
looks like i'll be missing the fun as of now.

It's apparently an AWS issue.
Not making excuses, an AWS issue is the same as a TT issue.
Apparently the status page is wrong and can't be updated because it is updated via AWS!
Will point out this didn't happen with XTrader!
TT was down. I use AMP for clearing and they were unable to close out my trades because of it. It's frustrating and I am angry and I'm sure the "pick yourself up from the bootstap folks will point out the error I had in trusting one data-feed instead of having multiple. I was under the understanding that a broker could close out positions regardless of data-feed, but boy did I learn a lesson today.
