Regarding trading education with a focus on technical analysis, psychology, and best practices; I am deeply appreciating the FREE course at https://www.marketlife.com/. The content is deep, and simply skimming it is not the right approach. I had lots of education. When I first cracked open the course, I thought "I know all this stuff." Then I very quickly discovered a fresh data-driven take on the common concepts. The great value (to me) is going from not just understanding these common concepts but how to truly apply them, or thoughtfully apply them.
The course is free. Buying the book is optional (Art & Science of Technical Analysis). There are paid services but my focus has been on this course. The author, Adam H. Grimes has a podcast called "Trader's Workshop with Adam Grimes" I love that content but I wish there were more sessions.
I wish my trading journey started with this course but probably I would not have had the pain & suffering experiences to appreciate its value.
Just sharing. I have no connection with Marketlife.com other than the free course and podcasts.
+1 recommending this course for beginners and for anyone struggling.
The strategies are sound (no special tools needed!) and there is free support with a forum and a discord channel.
There are paid extensions for people looking with help for particular markets and I'd imagine that 15 years ago I might have used one to help me understand the lectures better - I suspect they'd give Ghappy the extra information being requested on a day by day basis as Adam applies the strategies to the markets of interest. But I'd emphasis that the lectures and book are "complete" not bait to get people into paid material such as we see in other sites.
I did get turned onto Adam Grimes several years back. I subscribed to one of his services for a while and found it very worthwhile. There is a webinar with him on this site. Well worth watching. One of his most valuable and harped upon points is how so many people think they have an edge just based on no evidence at all.
Coming, they can't be denied. Going, they can't be detained.
