Just curious, how many many trade during Asia times such as Nikkei, Hangseng or Kospi? I trade the Nikkei 225 index futures and 6J during Asia time

Me. I'm in the same town. Mostly US instruments though. My "peak" hours are London open to NYSE open. You trading the N225 on the CME or the SGX?

I trade HSI for the morning session.

Then I trade EU, GU, AU and EJ from 6am GMT to 9:30am GMT.

If nothing much is happening with the currencies then I'll look at the HSI afternoon session (which starts at 7:30am GMT).

I have traded STW and Nikkei but as a trend trader, in recent times, I have found the currencies and HSI to be more amenable.

Part time. There are a few people using Ninja with a PATs account at Phillip Futures, and a lot of us hook up through AFACT ( www.afact.org.sg). There was an Algorithmic Trading Workshop today at Derivatives Asia 2010 at Suntec which AFACT supported, for example.

I'll PM you my contacts.

When I traded currencies there would usually be a nice predictable move within the first hour, but after that was no good.
