thank you jeff for the template loooks good i use the 4 range chart to trade the ES.will test it tomorrow.as for the swing HI and LO do not need to draw there is an indicator already available at ninja trader forums.if anybody is interested in it i could posted here.thanks to jeff gain god bless

Hanaa,

If you are going to use the "All you Need Wiz Style" template to trade the ES on a 4 range bar chart.....you might want to change the WMA period setting to 8.

Check this out....I think you'll see what I mean

Jeff

Thank you sir! It is so nice of you! What settings would you recommend for e-mini EUROUSD?

OK....here you go.

ALL YOU NEED WIZ STYLE

is posted.

Remember this is just the version that I happened to like on the ES 7 range bar today.

There was some talk about WHEN to trade. Personally, I think it is extremely important to know when NOT to trade. This will save you a lot of grief and money!!

I have addressed this issue at length throughout the thread so please review as I do not want to go through it all again.

Thanks, Jeff

Sorry,

I have not had a chance to check settings for every market. It's just trial and error. Just keep tweaking it until it looks good.

OK.......Sharky has agreed to release the paintbar studies. So.....here they are. His only request was that Zeller got credit for his contribution. I also know that Dragon converted the original version to other moving averages and sent them to me. So thanks to Dragon also. These paintbars studies are tied to the moving average of your choice.

What I did was take them off panel 1 and put them in panel 2 and 3. Panel 2 for longer term trend. Panel 3 follows price more closely. The format was Wizard's idea. If you want to know how to set it up check out Wizard's post earlier in the thread. (that's where I learned it)

So, have fun and thanks Sharky.

Just want to thank you guys(Jeff, Sharky, Zeller, Dragon) for posting these indicators. This evening I finally configured a chart with them on it. I think if I had this chart shown at the time of my trades I'd probably wouldn't have taken them all. Take a look for yourself.

I ended up 5 pts for the day. I can't complain but I could have captured allot more.

Thanks!

Hey jonesr9,

I'm not sure if you are doing an experiment or something but...... you don't need more than two studies on the chart. One for trend and one for entries. We posted different versions so people would have a choice.

Jeff

Just experimenting and checking these indicators out to see if they could give me an edge with entry and possibly exit points. I appreciate the information.

Wiz, on the two charts (post: #1084) what is the indicator in the 3rd panel (and its settings)?
I've noticed it very nicely shows choppy periods when white line is below purple horizontal line. I am not sure if that was the purpose of this indicator but I think it is worth checking.

gregid, That's the DM(5) period. I changed the colors. the +DI (BLUE - indicating up trend if above the -DI(RED) and above the purple line. Downtrend if RED is above the Blue & above the purple line. White is the ADX indicating strength of the Up or Down trend. The higher the white line goes above the blue, the stronger the up trend. The higher the white line goes above the red, the stronger the downtrend. Curious that you noticed that. Yes, indeed, it does seem to indicate a choppy period when the red or blue is below the purple line (weak trend). If you don't have it, let me know I'll post it for you. Cheers.

Jeff, Nice clean chart. I started playing around with Square of 9 and Gann Fans. Quite accurate & impressive. My hat's off to ol' Mr. Gann. I've uploaded my version (6 range - a bit choppy, and 8 MedianRenko (takes a lot of patience, but you get there eventually)), for anyone who wants to put it to use. Hope everyone had a good trading day.

Wizard,

Can you post a screenshot of the list of indicators. I loaded the template but alot of them did not come up so I need to figure out what I should track down. Thanks.

Blz
