No Skid ......that only happens in Louisiana. No where else in the world.

Yes Skid.....at this time I believe that the no gap range bars are superior to regular range bars.......why would you want a gap in your bars?????? A ninja short coming.

Jeff,

When I asked NT to fix the GAP!!!! I got their standard response.

I blew a gasket, and gave them a THUMPING!!!!! and then I programmed it myself!!!!

It took a while to figure it out.

I made the bars do what makes sense to me.

Yea, I have a short fuse sometimes.

I have a habit of going back and editing or deleting some heat of the moment posts.

That's why I have the honor of being tagged "DELETION ADDICTED"!!!!!

RJay

Hey Johnny Cash,

Lately I have recieved a variety of comments about this thread. Some like yours " clean and easy to understand" and others that say "I've read to whole thread and I still don't know what you are talking about".......well I wonder......which is it?

So......I'd like to make a request of you and anyone else that cares to respond.(Zoethecus) Post a synopsis of this thread. You don't have to write a book.....just a brief overview of what this thread is about......just the salient points. I would like to see what people come away with after reading this thread.

Thanks so much, Jeff

I was a happy man yesterday :-) 3 fair winners and one small loser.

Note that I am using a slower chart, to capture the whole major swings.

Can you share where you entered these trades and what you saw with the indicators to take them?

Also, are there any other indicators you are using but not shown on these charts?

OK.....I am a softy......by special request I have posted two templates.

The only reason that I have resisted posting templates is that I believe setting up your own templates develops a mastery of your platform and an understanding of your indicators that is critical.

That being said......here they are. It's just two indicators....the linear regression which I posted last night for Skid......set on 21 and a sharkfin which you can get in the download area set on 2.

One template (AYN LR) is bare bones.....no redundancy.....the other (LINEAR REGRESSION) duplicates the indicators in the lower panels.

LOL,

He is a Yankee Coonass, (north la)
We don't eat that kind of stuff down south.
We know good food and have lots of it but it don't include no chocolate dipped bacon.
And nobody makes better coffee.

Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez my friend

Just having fun. Louisiana has to me some of the best
food in the U.S. Just couldn't believe the crap they were
advertising at the fair this year. I see, DavidHP, you trade
the 6E. What time frame do you like the best? And yes
I'm a Yankee Coonass because I'm north of I-10. lol

Compare the basic....what I am calling the "All you Need Linear Regression" AYN LR for short.....to the Viper 5 range bar chart.of the ES........the same. Only the Sharkfin is better.

Not only that, but Viper requires two charts to be open (at least until the release of NT 7)

Do you think that we would trade better if we had really big ass dots???

Notice......everywhere there is a dot the Sharkfin has painted the bars for you. So......do you think you would trade better if you had big ass dots ??? I think not.

Jeff

But the bars are grey and the dots are blue?

Excellent observation !!!! The dots don't print until the bars turn blue.

You don't need the dots. The price is telling you all you need to know.

Technically this statement is false, you can run two separate data feeds on Ninja on one computer.

The first data feed has priority, so if it can supply the data then it will. The 2nd will be used if the first doesn't have the data. When I'm trading stocks I connect to Zen-fire first and then IB. And I get both. one could also do this to get the TICK index.

If you posted the rest of my reply, you'd see I said the same thing.
