I thinks that many of you are extremely good in programming indicators and strategies but make things as easy as possible could be almost useful for beginners .

In any case some sofisticated indicators are powerfull if well explained from the Author and confirmed by the Moderators: just getting some plotting colours should be beautifull to see but not certified for usage, meant that a detailed manual for each indicators etc. could be very useful to all of us .

Many thanks for this useful Forum
Have a good day
best regards

You're right, here's a little explanation from a second trade later on.
First chart is the trade, second is where you see it is filled, third chart is the explanation of this trade.

Working with mainly 8/10 range bars, but using a smaller one is always fun, and fast in a fast moving market, it's all up to you, but using the less possible noise on your chart, keeps you focused on the right direction, and that's all there is about, long, short or flat...
There is nothing more to see on your charts....up or down.

You also see the setup above, EMA_Colors, ECOBars_Sharky, but the TSSupertrend is since long my favorite, using only the arrow here, as KISS as possible.

Because I will confuse you thinking I'm a super trader, next trade I show you is going to be a loser, happens all the time, you have winners, and you will have losers, also one thing that is certain in trading.

Sorry, was again winner, but not that great trade because taking againts my colored bars.
Target was set right at MA.

Only backup was again my favorite TSSupertrend arrows.
Small red and cyan dots are hooks from Sharkys ECO_Bars.

You see me also moving my stop, because CC trend trade.

Hi Jeff,

I'm taking a breather from my CL trading so I'm looking at what the others here are doing. Are you still trading the 5 mins ORB? I really like your posting on the opening range breakout. I use to trade ORB but in a different way. I would look at a bigger range, like from 7-9am. Then trade the range breakout. I stopped after a while because the stop on the other side of the range was too much.

Thats why I like your 5 minutes range for every half hour. And I also like the idea of a scalp. The problem is, for a 10 point scalp the stop on the other side of the range is too big for a good r/r.

Do you have a fixed stop of lets say if the 5 minutes range is extremely wide?

I have been sim trading the every half hour 5 minutes range and so far so good. I just wanted to know what do you do when its a big range.

Thank you.

-Joel-

Well.....how about it.....are minute charts better?

Here's a 3 minute YM chart with double JeffsDots (enhanced) on it.
