For instance, this thread is about trading without indicators

I just wanted to clarify this, I'm not the OP but in my opinion the beginning of the thread was about having the minimum indicators necessary and using price action (trendline break, break of swing pivot, etc.) for entry.

Since then we've been experimenting with adding and removing, mostly removing. One approach is to remove what's not necessary, I think Jeff's going in that direction. My (and Blz's) approach was to remove everything and only add what's necessary. I think the end result will be the same, trading price action with a minimum of indicators if any at all.

Also, while I think the charts are kind of big, it is nice to see them when I reply. This is one complaint I've had about the image attachment here. I have to right click on the reply button and open it in a new tab so that I can tab back and forth between my reply and the chart I'm replying about. I think having them embedded is pretty nice. I understand the downside for the forum is that for archival purposes those images could disappear at any time. Maybe there is a solution to embed them and use the forum attachments? I used to do this at ET. I'd attach, then get the URL, then edit & embed. Cumbersome but the result was nice.

This thread has definitely been eye-opening for me. Jeff has made an amazing contribution, then Blz took a more minimalist approach and was very generous to share his method. And then TRO opened our eyes to a new way of seeing. I first came across TRO's approach a year and a half ago. His approach hasn't changed much but I didn't understand any of it back then. So I'm glad that he took the time to share it again. I'm really proud of this thread and I want it to continue.

Thanks everyone for their participation. This is, in my opinion, one of the best threads on this site.

See, I am NOT the only one.

Some people would prefer that I be banned. BIG MIKE HAS RECEIVED COMPLAINTS ABOUT ME. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? And you thought I was paranoid...LOL!!

I really hate to continue this (first, continue at al! lol but really I mean continue it here in what is clearly an off-topic discussion).

Inline images -- same process here. Attach, get the URL, and embed. No different than uploading to tinypic, getting URL, and embedding. It's faster, it's better for us (the forum), etc. You can do in-line if you want.

Just seeing a bunch of posts in a row, minutes apart, from the same poster, with one inline picture per post -- was annoying.

Mike

Mike, I tried to upload an image as you have described and have failed every time. Help!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've tried about 10 times.

Jeff,

For inline images:

1) Click paperclip to attach. Pop-up window appears.
2) Select images. Hit Upload.
3) Refreshed window appears. Each image is hyperlinked. Copy hyperlink (right click, copy link).
4) Paste into forum wrapping [ img ] <url here> [ /img ]. Remove spaces. Or just use the toolbar Image icon and paste the URL into that.

If there are any other questions please create a new thread with specific error or where you are getting hung up so we can get back on topic here.

Mike

The arrows show what bars had "rat" trades.

This is all you need to remember:

If previous bar is red, then look to go short at the previous bar low.

If previous bar is green, then look to go long at the previous bar high.

TRO,

Is the 60 min chart the only timeframe for those trades? (previous bar high/low breakout trades) Or do you use shorter timeframes as well?

Just trying to COOPERATE as best as I can.
