There has been some discussion about the 1-2-3 pattern of late.......remember a 1-2-3 reversal is just that......a reversal pattern. Today had a great example of a 1-2-3 reversal.
Just in case anyone is wondering.......the little arrows are an indicator that I am trying out for Sharky. It is in the experimental phase and is NOT available to the public. The other indicators are the (34) EMA and a TEMA (3). Notice that the arrows are filtered by the TEMA.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thanks for starting the "All You Need" thread. I read about 20% so far. Tried to download the updated template and mine only has 1 indicator (Swing1) per enclosed screenshot. Any ideas why the other indicators are not on + the bars are in red and blue only without a neutral one.
It looks like that particuliar chart has the EMA_Colors or..... ColorSampleUniversalMovingAverage2 and the Zeller/Sharky Sharkfin that you can get in the download area on Page 6... 8th one down.
Simply because it is too much trouble to have to alter my charts everytime I post something. Besides......the purpose of the post was to point out the 1-2-3 reversal pattern which has nothing in the world to do with little arrows.
There are several traders on this forum who post charts with indicators that they have paid for and have no intention of giving to the public. My indicators are no different. If you choose not to post your indicators that's fine with me......but then again....I wouldn't care if you did post them. It's your choice.
On top of that....who says these indicators are any good????? I am an indicator tester. People who create indicators love to give them to me because they know they can trust me not to give them away and that I will put the indicator through a rigorous testing and let them know what I think of it........in no uncertain terms. If it's crap....I tell 'em.
So, if people would prefer me not to post what I am doing.....then perhaps we should have a vote.
Silvester.....here's an idea......why don't you NOT read this thread??? Then you won't have to worry about "stupid" questions and "silly" answers. I am fairly certain that your contributions will not be missed.
I noticed from your previous post that you trade ES. As you may know I do not trade ES. I watch ES but use it as a "heads up" for what may or may not be happening. I only mention this because I have never liked my YM and CL templates on ES.
I posted a chart that you might find more useful......it has the zeller/sharkfin and the tema dots (which can be found in the elite section.
Thanks Jeff. It's a nice surprise receiving the ES chart. Yes, I tried trading YM (via PureTick daytrading room for 2 months) and came across KwikPop which is trading ES. Since I plan to use KwikPop (or equiv) as my main trading system, I am now back to ES (which I started in summer anyway).
Having lost more than what most experts mentioned in their books, I am very cautious on what to use for my "Futures daytrading career". I tried credit spreads and directional option trades - got severely burnt because I did not have an Exit strategy or plan before entering into a trade .. sigh ..
Now I think I finally learned to be a "smarter" trader .. smile .. Did lots of learning on how to be a disciplined and focussed trader incl listening to some hypnosis scripts. What a relief when I stay calm and relaxed most of the time!
Will be a Smart bookworm throughout the holidays so that I am more equipped to trade Successfully in 2010. Wish me Luck!
