At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors Ė all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you donít need to worry about fake reviews.

  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

Put it in

Code
C:\Users\harley\Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\Custom\Indicator
Then load the indicator / strategy that hit f-5 to compile it.

Cunparis, I am very new to this and haven't tried this before, so excuse me if this sounds really silly: are you saying that once I have the .cs files in the custom bin (of indicators in this case), that I open NT and load it via the indicator list that will now show the custom indicator?

And that once I have that in place, that I hit F5 to compile?

Hey all,

For those interested in the slingshot discussion.....you might want to check out permalink #159 on this thread for previous thoughts on the subject.

Jeff

Jeff,

I read the post about the slingshot but had never gone to the link that you posted on #159.

I just checked it out and it is amazing to me that anyone would pay $400 for that indicator.

Thanks for your efforts at futures.io (formerly BMT).

Double,Triple Trouble

What would happen if you put two of Sharkys new Triple_EMA_Dots on your chart? (one set to 4 the other set to 2) A pretty interesting chart.

I used the JeffsDots for direction 50, 5/5 (red/blue)
Triple_EMA_Dots (4) (magenta/lime)
Triple_EMA_Dots (2) (purple/green)

Just a thought. I must have too much time on my hands.

Jeff

True or False ?

That is a good question. If the "calculate on bar close" is set to false the dots will repaint. If the "caluculate on bar close" is set to true I believe that the dots will not repaint. So..... if the market is indecisive and you have it set to false the dots will paint and repaint......if you have it set to true and the market is moving quickly your entry may be late. So.....user preference.

If you use a fast chart there will be too many dots.

Jeff

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

Here's an example of a trend day. This chart includes doulble JeffDots.

JeffDots 5/5 EMA 20
JeffDots 5/5 HMA 2
EMA_Colors_Paint 5/5,20 (panel 2 hash 0)
EMA_Colors_Paint 5/5,20 (color bars true)

Spend sometime and set up your chart. It will help you understand what is on it. Do not ask me for the template.

YM 15 range bar

Jeff, what were you trying to see by having the double JeffDots and how did this help?
