For my second post, I would like to know what the most popular instruments are.

I have been having success with the YM, but I would like to begin observing a couple of others.

... any suggestions??

All input is greatly appreciated...

There are a lot of instruments, it depends on your trading style, but if are used to trading YM u can look some other index futures that move in similar way, like NQ and ES, or TF too. If u would like to try something really different with much more volatility try CL. Another good instrument is 6E, good volatility, good volume and less weird than CL. If u like half size value like YM u can also try 6B, really good movement, but less traded so sometime could have fill issue.
Have fun

My choice of instrument is a function of my account size and also the timeframe I choose to trade. I am able to trade YM, NQ and 6B with a maximum stop of about 25 ticks on a single contract to keep my risk under 2% of account. When I have doubled my account I will consider looking at other instruments..but these are plenty for me for the time being.
