Day Trading Strategies Survey

I created a survey to attempt to gather data on what strategies are the most popular among retail traders. We've touched on some of these questions with the futures.io polls, but that format doesn't really give us the flexibility to really be exhaustive. So I've created a survey with a list of almost every major school of trading you can think of. You can select all that apply, and then there's a second section where you can voice your opinion on which strategies you avoid using.

https://forms.gle/CSUc93xgPERoXHwt6

I'm hoping to get a few hundred responses so I've been posting it everywhere. However, I think that futures.io is the right place to discuss the results. So take the survey and then look at what the current results are. Tell us what you think about it.

I'll hold off on saying anything about what I think of the results for now so as to not bias anyone taking the survey.

@TWDsje

Would you confirm whether or not you receive an email address or a way to respond or reach out to anyone who fills out your survey?

Would you please also confirm you have zero intentions of offering any type of paid service or product, and that you are not in any way a Vendor, or making any plan or considerations to become one?

I completed the form. There was no personal data collected.

Submitted. Are you going to post the results and when ?

Glad to hear it. Still, I think it's best for everyone to get it out there so there is no second guessing -- so look forward to his reply.

The form does not collect personal information.

As you can also see it should allow you to see the current results after you've completed the survey. So far there's about 50 responses.

I am not offering a paid service or product, but it is perfectly fine if you want to treat me like I am. I do have the YouTube after all. Tell ya what, let's just make it easy. I'll make the decision right now to start offering a paid service or product just for you. Then I don't have to worry about what is ok or not because we can just hold me to vendor rules. If we have to delete the thread or whatever that's fine.

Since your thread was reported to us, asking you directly was the best method (I believe) that allows everyone to benefit from the answer.

No need to get defensive as it is not an attack. If we had evidence you violated our rules knowingly, we would have taken action. Making the public question was to benefit the community.

It's just a simple question about following our rules with vendors, and being transparent.

Regarding YouTube, so long as you continue to not offer any paid product or service, it's fine. YouTube by itself does not make you a vendor, but if you are selling a product or service, that does obviously.

It seems you are upset we asked the question. Sorry. That's the job, especially if other members bring it to our attention, we generally ask the exact same way. No need to take it personally, because it's not.

I asked you a second time only because you didn't answer me the first time. We just need simple answers and truth, and then naturally your actions will speak for the rest. There is no problem.

Nah it's fine I'm really not offended. I'm just saying maybe it would be easier that way. I don't want to worry about if I'm blurring the lines or anything. Like I have a patreon. I consider it a donation, but in some's book that could count right? And if I ever do decide to sell something I don't want it to be like "but that one time you said you weren't going to". So let's just say now that I will. I mean I really don't want to start selling indicators or whatever, but maybe that means that I really should. So let's just say I'm going to become a vendor.
