There is a five part free videos on market profile trading that is very good and if you are interested in volume profiling there are further courses and coaching
Probably next to impossible TBH. You can pick up valuable pieces from many traders around the globe but still the key element which will decide your consistency is your process and the ability to read context. This is just my opinion after 14yrs of being in the trenches. Also those who can trade - trade and keep quite and those that can't...well you know)
Correct, but not starting is also an option and considering the failure %rate a really good one IMO so before starting its crucial to think everything 9 times and only cut on the 10th. Its a saying we have around. Agree on the snake oil salesman as well, plenty around, like in any other field there always will be people looking for an easier way to make money and capitalize on one or another. So if you ever come through to a mentor or any pro trader who will teach you how to fish for a living - consider it a blessing. These people are rare kind. Everything else can be found online and free of charge. Just my 2 cents.
My opinion and thats all it is... is people coming into this are going to do it ANYWAY so if we can at least steer them into a productive process then all the better I think.
There is a ton of free stuff online but the problem is you dont know what fits into what. It's just a big jumbled mess of indicators, charts, psychology, contango, splits, delta, wave theory, channels, impulses, timeframes, scalping, R/R and it goes on and on...
I believe, and again it's just my opinion but if you sat down and watched and studied Al Brooks video course at least once if not multiple times you would be so far ahead of anyone trying to peice together an education online that once you did go to the internet for other information you would at least know what was real and what was fake.
