So, I'm looking for some advice. I currently use Sierra Charts (SC) and Infinity Futures (IF) as my broker and data provider. I have 2 trading stations (1 powerful desktop and 1 powerful laptop). I want to run both systems concurrently, one for trading and one to be always on downloading various market depths (ES, YM, CL, GC, etc.) for weekend practice trading. Plus, it would be good to have a backup system running all the time in case my primary system goes down and I need to get in and close a position quickly (unlikely, but contingency planning). I am happy with SC and IF for trading right now. I know that SC will allow 2 concurrent connections on the same account, but I'm not sure about IF (it's the weekend, so I can't get an answer from them right now). I am willing to switch data providers in order to get 2 concurrent connections. I'd like to only pay for 1 connection and I don't want to pay professional rates (I'm not a pro, I don't trade for a living, I'm still learning). Any recommendations?

Thanks!
Randy

Who is the broker data going through ? Is it CQG or Rithmic ? You will need to connect the data stream through CQG or R-Trader , for example. Then connect your charting and trading platforms to that through an API connection. Basically connecting SC and the execution platform through one connection. This is how you'd avoid paying exchange fees twice. But this is on one machine. I dont think you can avoid it on two separate machines.

Also, I think SC doesn't have this API ability.
