Is it not a failed trade where he got some slippage from his intended target ?

Trading CL for 2:1 risk/reward or 1:1 will guarantee failure over the long run.

I don't see ES as more difficult. I trade CL primarily but still view ES as one of the best instruments out there. Gap plays, opening ranges, and TICK plays make ES one of the most technically sound products available to trade. It should be a staple of every futures' traders portfolio.

I agree with Snoop. That's probably why so many persons trade the ES as it responds well to technical analysis specially to Market Profile. The ES reacts well to Ledges, singles, NPOC almost all of the levels as defined in Market Profile. I would say the ES would favor a fading trader more than the CL but again i have not watched CL long enough and under different conditions to assert it with 100% certainty (i am in the process to compile my observations).

Hello,
I currently trade the ES mini and was thinking of maybe trading another symbol instead. Since there are times when the ES takes forever to setup a trade. I wanted to know if crude oil was easier then ES and faster?

Still loving the TF. Gotta love $10/tick/$100 a point!

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

Easier, no. Faster, yes.

Guess it depends on your personality and trading style, personally I prefer CL because price action is usually smoother than ES which can go choppy all day with no real direction.
