I registered for the Workshop starting soon, never received a link to attend it. Won't let me register again. Don't find anywhere that I can click to get in...just see it says I have already registered go look in email for link but haven't received an email either last week when originally signed up and not now an hour ahead of time.
Help? I'd rather not wait until it is posted tomorrow, would rather see it today. tnx!

Hello traders. Has anyone used the GPS Forex EA. If si how did it perform? Also does anyone know anything about Elysium Capital who trade in Cryptocurrencies? If anyone has any comments on either of these two products I'd appreciate your feedback.
Cheers Sharkie
PS. Also has anyone invested in Yieldnotes and results thereof?

Hi,

Thank you for the question. I believe you are referring to the MotiveWave webinar event?

I am sorry you had trouble registering or attending the event. There were some issues with GoToWebinar that day.

If you wish to ask any further questions, or if you wish to watch the webinar recording, please see the thread below:

Hi,

Thanks for the question and congrats on your first post @RMC1308!

The webinar recording for MotiveWave is below, it is part of the Zytrade broker thread as they were the sponsor/presenter that arranged MotiveWave to present.

If you have any further questions about that webinar/event, please reply to that thread.

Just incase anyone else was wondering, we strictly prohibit this behavior. Anyone doing this will be permanently banned, and we will do anything possible to help law enforcement take action to enforce anti-piracy laws against the person.

Dear,

I have read many reviews but still lost.

I have backtested many strategies in Tradestation for a long time. Now I am looking for backtesting and optimization software for Stock/ETF. (only 1 symbol for 200 strategies took me for 6 months in TradeStation.)

My criterias are: Multi-strategy, multi-symbol, multi time frame, backtesting, parameter optimization, walkforward-analysis, and automated trading software for Stocks/ETF (forex is useful) and fast.

Maybe your area is different than mine but please give your thoughts on these software selections on most powerful fast reliable backtesting software.

At this time I am previewing

Multichart
Tradestation
amibroker
Metatrader 5
Metastock
StrategyQuantX
Quantconnect
Quantopian
smartquant
TradeIdeas
NinjaTrader

Thank you all very much for your help, assistance, and your knowledge towards choosing the right platform and save thousands of hours.

Thank you very much.
James

Hello All,

I am using NinjaTrader NT7. I code my own strategy. My strat trades 3 instruments (futures). I want to have a pice of code which exits all my open positions (of the 3 instruments),and stop the strat for the rest of the day session IF the Total realizedPnL and Total unrealizedPnlL (from all these 3 instruments) is >= maxdailyprofit. For this reason I tried the following of code but seems not to work as expected.

//-------------------
....

Into the OBU, which includes the if (BarsInProgress == i , i=1,2,3), I write :

if( Positions[0].GetProfitLoss(Close[0], PerformanceUnit.Currency)
+ Positions[1].GetProfitLoss(Close[0], PerformanceUnit.Currency)
+ Positions[2].GetProfitLoss(Close[0], PerformanceUnit.Currency)
+ Performance.RealtimeTrades.TradesPerformance.Currency.CumProfit) > maxdailyprofit )

{

ExitAll = true; // ExitAll = bool variable

// ExitLong();
// ExitShort();

Print( GetAccountValue(AccountItem.RealizedProfitLoss)
+ Positions[0].GetProfitLoss(Close[0], PerformanceUnit.Currency)
+ Positions[1].GetProfitLoss(Close[0], PerformanceUnit.Currency)
+ Positions[2].GetProfitLoss(Close[0], PerformanceUnit.Currency)
+ " " + Time[0]);
}

//-----------------

foreach (var instrument in BarsArray)

{
foreach (Account acct in Cbi.Globals.Accounts)

{

if (acct.Positions != null && ExitAll )

{

PositionCollection positions = acct.Positions;

foreach (Position pos in positions)

{

if (BarsInProgress == 0 && pos.Account.Name == "Sim101" && pos.Instrument.FullName == "XX 12-20" )

{

if (Positions[0].MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Long )

{
ExitLong("");
}

if (Positions[0].MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Short )

{
ExitShort("");
}

}

//------------------------------------

if (BarsInProgress == 1 && pos.Account.Name == "Sim101" && pos.Instrument.FullName == "XX 12-20")

{

if (Positions[1].MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Long )

{
ExitLong("");
}

if (Positions[1].MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Short )

{
ExitShort("");
}

}

//----------------------------------

if (BarsInProgress == 2 && pos.Account.Name == "Sim101" && pos.Instrument.FullName == "XX 12-20")

{

if (Positions[2].MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Long )

{
ExitLong("");
}

if (Positions[2].MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Short )

{
ExitShort("");
}

}

//-------------------------------------

}

}

}

}

So, any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Hi @Sharkie28, you are absolutely correct in that we made an error! If you follow this thread post-by-post, you'll see that somehow I accidentally skipped over your request. My apologies! I believe it was probably because I had to take special action to ban the member right next to your post, which apparently distracted me enough to forget to reply to your post. Very sorry.

You've asked many questions in a single post, so I've had to create multiple threads for your questions.

Here is the first:

Here is the second:

Here is the third:

If you have any further follow-up questions, please post them in their respective threads above. If you still continue to not receive any responses, it is probably because people are not understanding you well or the question is too broad. For example, of course people trade all kinds of Treasuries here, so asking that is very broad. You should ask something more specific in that case probably.

Thank you,
Mike

I am a new futures spreader that have been trading the outrights for years, and have now switched to futures spreads.

I would like to know if anyone can recommend the Moores Research on futures, or if the spread software, ""SeasonAlgo" would be a better choice for the analytics.

Hi,

I'd like to watch 'John Ehlers on Effective Indicators for Trading Systems' webinar.
Unfortunately it needs Adobe Flash.
As you probably know:
'Since Adobe no longer supports Flash Player after December 31, 2020 and blocked Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.'

What should I do to have access to this recording?

Thanks,
Krzysztof

Thanks for the question. This is a known issue with our site at the moment. You can find various discussions about it in our issues thread:

But the short answer is, it is a known and high priority item to get all older (Flash) webinars moved to new format for easy viewing. It's a work in progress.

Hello, I used the search bar but didn't see much insight into what I was looking for.

I bought mack' price action manual a week ago. Sense then I've read it multiple times and even filled half a note book with notes.

But what I'm still struggling with is counting legs REAL TIME to look for second entries.

Some days I feel like I have it and in demo catch 2-3 good trades.

Other days its like I can't read them at all and miss every trade.

Is it possible for someone to explain counting legs perhaps in their own definition?

Maybe I'd understand it better from someone else?

Thank you so much.

Sorry for the long question.

This guy made an excellent video about how to count legs a la Mack way:

He is also a member of Futures.io as well @erwinbeckers

Hi All,

I have recently joined this forum. I am looking for help in creating a thinkscript (ThinkOrSwim Platform) for the following criteria and need help with the same. The objective is to get the list of stocks whose price has been relatively stable in the last 10 days even though there has been considerable (200k +) volume every day. If this is already existing or if anyone can help share this script, kindly do so. My apologies in case I am posting this in the wrong place.

Additional clarity on the Scan Criteria: Want to create a scan wherein I select all stocks whose last price is within the range of 2% from its high and low in the last 10 days. It would help if I can change this 10 days to be any number of days. Also the last price can be the last price for today or yesterday. For e.g. a stock has high of 100$ in the last 1 month and low of 98$ then I want this particular stock to be selected in the scan I write in the TOS platform. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Hello Guys
I have Question on the Datafeed.
Can somebody do a Statement on the Quality of Mt5 Data with the average Bucketshop Broker overall ?
i know Market Depth is Nonsense on this One but i`d like to know how close we can get to Spot for ex. Iceberg orders.
How close is it to the Maching Engine BuyMarket = Sell Limit.
Cheers

Not really sure what you are asking in terms of, "...how close we can get to Spot for ex. Iceberg orders.
How close is it to the Maching Engine BuyMarket = Sell Limit..."??

What data/Instruments are you looking at? If it's spot forex, that market is OTC (Over the counter) and as such, you will be hard pressed to find any meaningful volume or limit data simply because there is no centralized exchange. Any attempt at order flow analysis on spot FX is going to be difficult.

As the spot FX market is OTC, add together the fact that you spoke of bucketshop brokers, you can expect all sorts of shenanigans especially during volatile or illiquid periods. This will also apply to all products which are not traded over a centralised exchange.

In general, you need to see if the broker is an 'A book' or 'B Book broker'. If a 'B book', God have mercy on your soul.

I know AMP Futures offers MT5 as a trading platform where you need to pay relevant exchange fees etc so all data from such sources is as good as it would be for anyone else. Of course, it depends on your pc and internet set-up but if data is from a established exchange and your technology is up to scratch, you shouldn't have issues with quality of data.

Question: What should my timeframe be for my TPO chart if I'm trading MES during normal hours?

The Volume profile is unaffected by the evening if I limit the TPO to 830-1600 they are practically in sync. For instance this last week. With the TPO set to cover a 24hr trading period, night hours form their own low volume bell curve that I feel like skews the whole day. Any input would be appreciated, Thanks!

In addition, I would invite you to take a look at a very recent TPO discussion that is taking place as a result of a recent webinar. You might want to watch the webinar(s) [there is one now, another is scheduled] from Trevor Harnett and ask your question again in the Tradovate AMA thread. Tradovate is sponsoring this series of webinars, which is why it is in their thread.

I'd like to make sure I'm posting my trading journal correctly in FIO for the Feb trading journal challenge. I have posted a PDF file of a sample journal within that thread. The PDF was created in a Google Sheet and shared as a PDF to my message yesterday. Can someone tell me should I be creating a URL differently within the IO website?

If you Google, "how to watch flash videos without flash player", you should get plenty of solutions.

Try one that is most effective for you. You may already have something installed that can play flash videos. Solution may also depend on whether you are trying to watch on a pc or a mobile.
