Due to high volatility, circuit breakers were changed today for RB, HO & PA. Received the following from CME
In response to the heightened volatility experienced in Palladium (PA), RBOB Gasoline (RB), and Heating Oil (HO), CME Group increased the Dynamic Circuit Breaker Levels as noted below, effective immediately:
• Palladium Futures (PA) from 5% to 10%
• RBOB Gasoline Futures (RB) from 7% to 15%
• Heating Oil (HO) Futures from 7% to 15%
These changes will remain in effect until further notice.
For information purposes
What happens if a DCB is triggered?
If triggered in the primary contract market (lead month), all associated contract markets immediately transition into a two minute pre-open state. There is no monitoring period. The GCC designates the lead month for the primary contract. If triggered in a non-primary month, only the triggering contract will reserve.
